That's a very good question. I placed it up high near the hottest area of the garage, away from the fan. Since I didn't have a window/flat surface near by, I couldn't use the suction cup. So, I ended up using some zip ties and screwed down some cable management anchors. I'll update the video description with the details. Thanks!
I didn’t notice if the thermostat probe is next to the unit or if you put that up on the ceiling near your ducting or near the fan.
