I ran a 4.7 back in highschool when I was about 150. I’m 33 and 175 now. The idea that there are guys twice my weight running even faster along with freakish lateral quickness is insane. Monster athletes.
I ran a 4.34 in high school.... I'm 40 now and I'd be shocked if I can go below 5.0

A defensive linemen might have to run 40 yards in a straight line once in a season, if that. This is a useless drill for these guys. I'm more interested in how they do on agility drills.
I think it showed alot about how their bodies like to move. so other benefits besides knowing their top end speed.
