  • In this video, Alex Shortt explains the difference between LASIK and PRESBYOND results. Although the procedure is identical, with LASIK, a patient's vision is clearer immediately following surgery. PRESBYOND patients, on the other hand, will have an adaptation period after treatment. Symptoms of the adaptation period are quite mild. For example, a patient might occasionally struggle to see a computer screen, or their eyes may feel tired later on in the day. This period can last anywhere between 1 week and 6 months. For most patients, this period lasts only a couple of weeks to a month. The symptoms can be managed with a temporary pair of glasses.
