【トヨタ博物館】チシタリア 202 クーペ / Cisitalia 202 Coupe (1947)

展示車両のほぼすべてを走行可能な「動態保存」としていることは、トヨタ博物館の最大の特徴のひとつです。
館内で上映している走行映像の内、販売用DVDに収録されていないものをRUclipsにて公開いたします。
チシタリア 202 クーペ（1947年）について：
チシタリアはイタリアの大富豪ピエロ・ドゥジオが第2次世界大戦後に興したスポーツカーメーカーです。フィアットのエンジンを使い数多くのレースで活躍しました。
ボディとフェンダーを一体化した美しいスタイルはフラッシュサイドデザインと呼ばれ、戦後の自動車のボディスタイルの先駆けとなりました。イタリアのカロッツェリア、ピニン・ファリーナのデザインによるものです。
1951年、ニューヨーク近代美術館により、現代の造形を代表する優秀なデザイン8車に選ばれ、永久収蔵品に加えられました。その美しさから「小さな宝石」「動く彫刻」と呼ばれ、現在も多くの人々を魅了しています。
トヨタ博物館の収蔵車は1948年イタリアの公道レース、ミッレミリアに出場した実車です。
映像ではボディがロッソ・コルサ（レッド）で塗装されていますが、調査の結果、オリジナルのボディカラーはアクアマリン・メタリック（ライトグリーン・メタリック）であったことが確認されました。2018年に当館でレストアを行い、現在はオリジナルに近いカラーとなっています。

Cisitalia 202 Coupe (1947):
Sports car manufacturer Cisitalia was established by wealthy Italian industrialist Piero Dusio soon after WWII. The company distinguished itself in numerous races with cars fitted with Fiat engines.
The 202 Coupe was a compact sports car with a low-displacement 1,100 cc engine. Its most renowned feature is its beautiful styling, which features integrated body work and fenders. This so-called flush-sided design by the famous Italian coachbuilder Pinin Farina was a forerunner of automotive styling after the war.
It was added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1951 as one of eight cars that represented the best of modern auto body design. Reflecting its beauty, the 202 coupe has been called a “little jewel” and a “moving sculpture,” and continues to dazzle people today.
The 202 coupe in the collection of the Toyota Automobile Museum participated in the Mille Miglia open-road race in Italy in 1948.
Although its body is painted red (Rosso Corsa) in the video, it was confirmed that the original body color was Aquamarine Metallic (Light Green Metallic) as a result of the investigation. We restored our 202 coupe in 2018 and its color is now close to the original.
