The only person i ever cared about in reign was bash and he even doesnt get his happy ending.

All bash did was love her with all his heart and she always wanted more. She rather be alone and unloved rather than with bash. So sad
i know this is an old comment, but I think that he went kept going away on those trips trying to fix the problems of the land as he did subconsciously growing up as a way to prove himself to his father, and he has just continued doing so as he got older. I also think if he was just around more and not off weeks on end, she would have been happy. But he kept leaving cuz he knew she would always be there, until she wasn't anymore.
I think they both lived each other but they were really different and incompatible...they were the most relatable couple...being in love but wanting different things in life is very common evem nowadays and when people compromise they end up holding a lot of resentment
I think they both loved each other but not in ways that made the other felt loved. Kenna wanted someone to protect her and prioritize her after the kind of relationship she had with Henry. Bash wanted to be a hero and prioritized his ideals over needs at home. They both took each other for granted. He neglected her and she manipulated him. I felt so bad for both of them because I think they had such a genuine love but were so I compatible together. Kenna is not solely to blame for this marriage falling apart.
@@mayaserenaher5336 Couldn't have said it better. I believe Kenna however, made more effort to compromise her priorities than he did for her. Despite knowing that he turned down the opportunity to be a Duke she tried to be understanding of his big brother roles but he was hardly there to build on the romance, Balls, games with the nobles or even couples events like picnic or dating,The moment she said 'I love you too' he thought he had fulfilled his role as her husband (ie satisfying the emotional need of the marriage). Their marriage was new, forced upon and their status was different, thus the relationship was fragile and needed to be nurtured which Bash didn't get.
Honestly, he COULD have given her what she wanted, but he was selfish, there’s Absolutely no reason why he couldn’t have. She could’ve had both
It was my OTP too :( I hope they can be together again, Kenna without Bash is not the same. And Bash suffers so much :((( I love Bash and I want him to be happy at last :'(

It's really hard for me to watch reign now. I can't without out this couple. I heard about Greer and Leith too. My two favorite couples, ruined. I honestly just can't watch anymore.
Kelsey Cate tell you the truth, Greer and Leith were not the best couple. All Greer ever cared about was reputation and money which was pretty much like Kenna while Leith genuinely loved her so much to the point that he was willing to make an ambitious rise from being a kitchen boy to a noble. Even after Greer fell from favor, she still chose reputation and money over love. I understood why Leith gave up at the end...
@@nathan225 You are selling greer way too short, her whole family depended on her, what was she supposed to do? Leave her sisters alone and don't even get me started on how her dad pressured her and treated her horribly. When they met again, both greer and leith had matured more and she discovered what she wanted and that was independence (economically), leith expected her to give it up and depend solely on him but she didn't want to and its something that I appreciated and respected from her.

The show did Kenna DIRTY. Like what’s wrong with wanting a nice life and a husband to share it with? Sure she made MAJOR mistakes, but like Bash was no saint either. I still love’em both tho!

Kenna and Bash are one of my favourite couples in this series and while their marriage started as a punishment/amusement for crazy Henry, they eventually learn to love each other. However, I think Kenna made more effort to try to understand and meet the needs of Bash than he did for her. Despite loving the flamboyant life and titles, she did try to not to make a fuss about Bash turning down a more favourable title based on his devotion to his brother and the fact that he is always away. But being an insecure person Kenna needed alot of attention and validation from Bash and him spending most of his waking hours away and little to no time with her fed into her insecurities and made men that showed her attention seem alot more favourable. Unlike Francis and Mary, they didn't really have any romantic get away or moments where Bash did something nice for Kenna just because. He played a huge part in her not being satisfied with their marriage.
This is tragedy for Bash because kenna is so strong in her superficial greed that it hard for him to find ways to love her. She doesn't want love but flattery and riches. She not looking at where she is tearing him spart. He is trying to love her inside but she doesn't want it. He is actually a humble man who will love you beyond idea if riches. She so stuck on herself that she doesn't take in consideration of his feelings. She blinded by flattery but not by real affection. Whenever she messed up, she want him to help protect her reputation and image. She makes it hard for him to express anything. She just want glory of riches and status. She doesn't understand how her answers are like swords to his heart. She not interested in love he wants to share with her at all. Kenna misses being mistress of a king. A king who lazy with money who can spoil her with expensive gifts . Although she says, he not spending enough time, she doesn't like hero type. She could try find ways to get strong to join in his work. She crying for being pampered where she can brag. She doesn't want love. This is why Bash struggle so much trying to love her. No matter how hard he tries, she doesn't see why she breaks his heart again and again. He spend days thinking how to make her happy and special. She only sees her side. He trying hard to treat her like a person while she looking elsewhere with envy. It tragic. Kenna wants to be treated as thing to flatter with gold instead of love. Bash is the one who suffer the most from this arrangement

Why didn't he just accept a title?
Why should he? Why can Kenna stop thinking about a life as royal and love Bash for how and who he is. Stop thinking about what he can't give her? She loved him but the title was more important to her :(
He did accept the title of Baron which made her a Baroness but that wasn't good enough since she wanted to be a Queen. All the same I loved them together and so pissed at those dimwit writers.
JuliasVideoChannel In that day and age, a woman is ONLY as good as her husband’s titles and properties. She loved him and she knew he was a good man but she couldn’t escape the conditioning of her time. She knew she would never be respected or protected without the right titles and power. She says this in the show.
She was a realist where Bash was an idealist.
Bash also cared more about glory and being a hero than providing Kenna with the comforts and protections a husband was supposed too. He loved her but his priorities were always elsewhere and he still loved Mary.
Their story was tragic and real. Bash couldn’t understand why a girl would seek protection via riches and titles. And Kenna couldn’t understand why a bastard would seek validation via glory and heroism. Two people who loved each other but had different priorities in life just...drifted apart.
@@mayaserenaher5336 Bash did NOT care about glory and being a hero. He did what he thought was his duty to his king, his wife, and his country!!!! Kenna only saw the royal life and its riches all the time. That's why she had to have a man with power and position. She was so lucky to get Bash and threw it all away. Where did it get her? Exiled. Poor Bash was cheated all the way around.
This couple ruined me /sigh/ it was all a waste
2x17 is the worst episode. I loved kenna and bash.
