Nice machine , I was very surprised to know your one of the first in Canada to have this Snow Dog , I have been thinking of one of these for couple years... Should be able to make tree fetching in heavier bush a lot easier... And if there is a way to incorporate into mining then I’m quite sure you’ll figure it out 👍👍 Have a great day

“Snowdog” has been available for several years in Canada, this model is made by a different company called Tinger and it just came to market here.... but talking with the dealer this morning it sounds like a fair number are on the way to dealers in Canada so you’ll start seeing more of them soon

Awesome. Looking forward to seeing some hill climb and log crossing tests. How much does that unit weigh?

Wow you got that setup fast! How was it to install the engine? Any first thoughts on the handling?

I’d have to rate the install as about a 7 out of 10 for the average Joe, personally I didn’t find it that difficult but you need to install the motor onto the base plate that has the reverse gear box assembly and set it into the chassis as a unit so it’s very awkward and I don’t recommend doing it by yourself without an engine crane....
I don’t really want to comment on handling yet, I need to adjust the handle bar first and take it out for a proper rip, I’ll say it has a surprising amount of torque and shouldn’t have any issues pulling several hundred pounds in a second sled....

It’s for a little bit of everything, hauling my Argo around is a bit hard behind my taco in the muddy season and this little machine slides rite into the box of my tacoma....
I’ve got a big kick ass mountain sled for winter but this winter we only had 6-10” of snow and that’s not enough for the snowmobile so this hopefully fills both the gaps.... and where I go a quad is pretty useless any time of the year.
