Subsequently the best summary of this higher power in Jesus Christ; our King, Lord and Saviourr. The problem of the bottle is the lack of will of these and many many people around the world. Having a drink is OK but during so excessively is actually ccontrary to the teaching of Jesus.
Well Alcohol was introduced by the Jesuit London Missionaries Society via their mass. But the people of the Torres Straits, had their own religion and worshiped a god in the form of an octopus. Their god was called Mer and their laws included their own 8 commandments which mirrored that of the Christians 10 commandment. Alcohol destroyed many Indigenous populations throughout the world and a lot came through with the spread of Christianity.
