I’ve adored Stephen Fry for the last few years just so much. He’s helped me with my depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and coming to terms with my homosexuality by just speaking and being open about it.
The difference between Stephen's relationship with Hugh Laurie and the rest is clearly seen in this video. Your friends are going to show up at an awards ceremony and heap praises on you. Only your best friend is going to pretend to think really hard to come up with ONE of your talents...

Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie are literally my favorite people. There is very little I wouldn't give up to meet either of them
I have had at least 5 different dreams (that I can remember, so nevermind what I might've forgotten) where I'm over in the UK hanging out in a house with Stephen and Hugh, and I couldn't be more thankful for that. I mean, I'm an American, and wish to god already I could at least visit England, perhaps even live there, but then ALSO getting to be in the company of those two... just bliss.

Nobody could have represented Oscar Wilde better than him in a movie. He has the charisma, flamboyant, the looks, the elegance, the softness, the voice and pronunciaton needed. He is 100% brittish 🇬🇧, I adore him.
My go to answer whenever someone asks that question: 'Who would you most want to have at your dinner table'.
Just remember, if things in your life are bad, and you don't know if you're gonna get out of a rut (like Stephen Fry was like at one point in his life), just remember...

Stephen & Hugh helped me through some dark times in the 90's with their "A Bit of Fry & Laurie" series. I know this is late, but I just want to put something out there. Love them both. Very much.

I think Stephen Fry will be one of the only "celebrities" (I use the term loosely because he's so much more than that) I'll cry over if he passes before I do.
That Stephen Fry exists in this world gives me hope and lifts my spirits. I love him.

This man is the most adorable person i have ever laid my eyes on.
An absolutely fucking undeniable treasure! He’s the kind of man whose lap you want to sit on as he narrates for you the history of Britain and I do mean the complete history without a single detail missed, because you just want to hear him talk for hours. Someone bubble wrap him.
'Fry TV', that would be wonderful, the whole day/night Stephen Fry on the box. QI 'the parthenon', the funniest tv moment in years.

Oddly enough, I first discovered Stephen in a short scene in the John Travolta movie, A Civil Action back in the late 80s. Something about how he did that one scene intrigued me. He was the reason why I got into British TV and movies entirely.
He is unique and one of the best
Revering real people is somewhat of a fools errand, but Stephen, for me, comes near to being an idol. He shows us that people can be good in so many ways while still being people.
He's actually an international treasure. I adore and admire him from across the pond.

I've met him after seeing his show 'Mythos' where he read extracts from his book of the same name and talks about Greek mythology amoungst other stuff, he was just as lovely as you'd expect.
And what was super sweet was seeing my mum meet him as he's been her hero forever! He was so nice to her as she was embarrassed and fangirled over him :)

On QI, I love the enthusiasm and wonderment Stephen has for the natural world and how humanity has evolved socially to where we are today. The world is amazing, don’t believe rubbish in fictional deities and stories, it’s all around us here and now. That’s what Stephen preaches and I’m a true believer in that too.

@@moremerry57 no it wasn't. Only a fully indoctrinated PC-er would think that. Most clear-thinking people acknowledged the yelling and screaming, and they would also have concluded that it was incredibly rude of the screaming people to make those noises!
