    All the new skaters do is jump and jump and jump. It's like there's a lost art behind modern figure skating from Yuna's generation. She is just magical. Mind you she comes from a country with no roots in the sport, no facilities, no coaching, and initially no interest in funding her trips to gran prix's and the like. She still managed to win. These days it's just jumping and bought scores from corrupt judges. There may well never be another on Yuna's level. Thank the good Lord for this recording in HD.

Altogether Adelina got 26 extra marks when they should've been taken away for her multiple double foot landings, wrong edge jumps and the triple lutz triple toes which ended up just being triple flips due to the fact she pre-rotated, used the wrong edge, used the wrong foot, and didn't use her toes but the entire blade. Just for that ONE combination mistake she should have been penalized over 4 marks but instead she got the maximum. Nagasu is a great skater but it feels weird to know that an Asian is representing the USA. The US is selling itself to Asians and immigrants in general... Any Asian who show up with a little bit of money steal the place that should be given to an American child. African americans are discriminated American coaches will find scholarships for white Asian kids over an African American child. It is a fact. They make unaffordable for black kids to do any kind of sports. Somehow all this Asians are coming here and surprisingly getting a free ride to do the sports they want. BS

      @ghso7 6 лет назад +44

      Okay woah woah woah. I know that African Americans are discriminated against, but the thing is... the Asian people are not just Asian either. They are Asian American. If you categorize them, they are all Americans. I do not see why you are blaming Asian Americans for getting a free ride, but if they have talent that is what the coaches want to take. Obviously. There must not be an African American person that has caught someone's eye yet. You don't need to be all mad and push the blame onto Asian Americans. It is completely unnecessary to the conversation. The person just wanted to say how graceful a KOREAN skater was and you start blaming Asian Americans for taking places in sports. What is wrong with you?

Let's not make this a race issue - each of these athletes worked their asses off to get where they are, regardless of race. It could simply be that ice skating is not as popular a sport within the african american community as other sports.

    I grew up in Vancouver and the 2010 Olympics are some of my best childhood memories. But I distinctly remember watching Yuna Kim’s free skate on TV in my mothers bedroom thinking it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen. A true Queen.

      Yes, maybe her extensions are poor, but the the elegance, the speed and the ice coverage make her spirals beautiful!

    Still one of the greatest figure skating performances of all time. This girl is fully connected with the music. And she is PERFORMING not just cranking out quads. I’m not saying the Russian girls aren’t musical or artistic but when you’re trying to flip 4 times in the air you sacrifice in other areas. FANTASTIC music choice too.

    It's a tradition for me to come back here from time to time especially when there's a winter olympic taking place. This performance is textbook perfect. You simply can't compare her to nowadays' ladies skaters. Very beautiful, classy, and yes it's actually hard but she made it looks so easy. Long live the queen.

    Best skater ever in history. Everything about Kim Yuna and her skating is perfect. The expressions and even when she gets ready for her jumps it doesn’t show. All other skaters in the past and even now, when they are about to jump it’s not smooth transition. This is the best skating program I had ever seen. Queen Yuna forever!

    Wow - a ballerina on ice. She dances on the ice with such grace.

    Let’s not forget her gracefulness comes from complete mastery of the techniques. Textbook jumps, control of edges, speed and power in skating, beautiful body movement…. This is what figure skating is about. Having said that, I think her Sochi programs are underrated because of the scandal. Miss her!

    Wonderful lady. Poetry in motion. So smooth and graceful. And all done with a humility which is astonishing given the fact she was operating on a different league to any other skater. Her reaction when she gets the score is beautiful. Queen of Korea and Queen of ice skating.
