why isn't the price included in the comparison. one of the most important details
Didn't you see the screen shots I included in the video of the prices from Lowes and Home Depot on each clamp? I didn't think I had to call that out with the prices being right there but if you missed it the SL300 is $17.97 at Lowes and the EZS is $17.84 at Home Depot...a savings of $.13.

Not a problem. I know what you're saying. If the SL300 would've been $4 more than the EZS, or visa-versa, then I would have made more of a point about the price. Since they were so close in price, $.13 difference, I didn't feel I had to say that after showing the screen shots of the prices at the local big box stores. Does that make sense? Now if I compared a $50 BESSEY clamp to a $3 Harbor Freight clamp then I could see people taking the price more into consideration lol. I hope that clears up anything I didn't mention in the video.
It looks like the bessey clamp will last a heck of a lot longer seeing the way it's built inside, think I'm going with the Bessy.
Mar Nas I don’t blame you. The EZS is built a lot better IMO. I love using mine over the SL300.
I own Bessey clamps but with a different release mechanism, you simply push on it to release. Agree with you, the swivel Jaws are a plus for Irwin. I have some Work pro clamps I got on Amazon, look similar to Bessey. I have a big 24" DeWalt clamp, it's a bit rusty, still work. You are right you can't have too many clamps Thanks for showing the internals, good review👍

thanks for the details on the mechanism. Very telling. Have a very cheap one lying around with only one metal plate on each push and release and the force applied is not satisfiying.

Everyone loves clamps. I think the Dr used one of these in the operating room while my son was born.

I have the Irwin clamps and I'm not a fan. I can't seem to get a lot of clamping pressure from them. I am a fan of Bessey clamps. I don't think I will go back to the pistol grip Bessey or Irwin,. Really like the Bessey clutch clamps. That 4 pack for $20 at Home Depot is a great deal.
K Stone Interesting. I've never had an issue with the IRWIN or BESSEY. I will agree that those 4-pks at HD are a pretty good deal.

The Bessy is nice but I can't see myself spending $17-$18 on a clamp. It's weird but I dream of having a wall full of clamps. lol

no accessories (Bessey) vs lot's of them (Irwin) that make Irwin overall better and universal system. Case closed.

@@CPBuilds.the old version are built like a tank, i do have 12 of them for years they never break. Bought 4 of the newer version ,two already broke on a swivel part, buying Dewalt clamps they are like the old Irwin version, don't buy Irwin clamps they junk

Yep. The they break easily at the swivel head. Also on the XP range.
