Those who have never experienced true grief NEED to hear this. Its been 20 years and and it still feels like he was just here. It doesnt get easier. They live on through you. Congrats Alex, this song is amazing and will be on repeat, in my downloads, till the day i die.
This is true, I always thought things got easier because that’s what I’ve been told for over 4 years now. I held on to that and have beat myself up for it wondering why I haven’t been able to let go and heal. True grief really is life long, it’s something that lingers and consumes you in your darkest times.
I needed to be reminded my mom lives on through me, I’ve lost sight of that recently and I’ve been in a downward spiral for a couple years now. Thank you.

this hits so different. i found you on snapchat and hace been following for a couple months. this is beautiful. my granny was my absolute best friend. i lost her in 2016. it’s felt like i lost a piece of myself. i got a tattoo in her memory so i’ll always have a piece of her with me. i miss her so much. this song truly encapsulates that grief.

Today is the anniversary of the day he returned to the lord. I had forgotten, my mom and I bonded over this, he was so loved.
