- Channeling some Mediterranean vibes 🌊 via Entre Dos Aguas by Paco de Lucia, one of the most recognized Flamenco Rumbas and arguably his most famous piece. This is my cover version which was recorded for a intimate concert series on the Chicago Lake Shore (Lake Michigan) I used my @BOSSinfoglobal looper to create the rhythm and bass line and then jammed away...

In spite of not in line with Paco's original, this is another good fake imitation and good in its own field.

Thanks… and yes, I totally acknowledge that I’m not reproducing Paco’s version. Well, actually most of section A is actually pretty spot on I think, but I havnt had the time to work out the other two sections. It’s on my to-do list. Not because I think it’s necessary to exactly cover it, but both as an ode to Paco and because it’s great challenge to play the original themes and notes. His improvs were a work of art. 👌🏼

I really enjoyed your version of Entre Dos Aguas. Everyone's cover sounds different. Some do more justice to the song than others, I think yours is one of those that does it justice. I think it would be enjoyable if you would video how you use the Boss to layer the loops you built for this song. And explain how they work in the live setting. That would be a fun peak behind the scenes so to speak. Lastly a question. Have you heard of or played a Prudencio Saez 4-FP (36)? There is one for sale near me. I plan on going to see it soon. That is why I am asking. Thanks.
Thanks Timothy! Appreciate it. I really enjoy playing this piece and put a lot of emotion into it. That said, I do want to learn more of the actual parts to the other sections of the tune which I just improvise on at the moment. But it works as well…
And yes, thanks for the chiming in on the idea. I have wanted to do a pedal board breakdown for Spanish Guitarists, and could also do a looper breakdown, how I personally use it for rumbas. Great idea. Besides performances, I’ve been busy filming a complete e-course I have in the works for release for 2024. So that’s kept me tied up from releasing full RUclips videos regularly. But I’ll get back on the train soon.
And unfortunately I havnt heard of that guitar. But if it meets the specs you’re looking for, for sure go check it out. And let me know how it goes. 😉
