If you were there in the 70s did you ever drink in Ward's Irish House -Exit 6 from the Tube. It was behind a large blue door, which led down a flight of stairs into the Basement pub; next to Kleptomania.
Good ol days. I remember riding a bus with my friend for 40 miles to see the mighty Led Zeppelin live at Earls Court. Both our parents thought we were staying at the others. Never got caught and luckily was never murdered either! 😅 One of the greatest nights of my life. Don’t make bands like them anymore!
Piccadilly Circus was pretty notorious back then. London had a huge problem with young runaway kids. Unfortunately, a lot of them ended up on the streets working as rent boys to survive, and Piccadilly Circus got the nickname "The Meat Rack" as a result. Tragically, it led to a lot of paedophiles chasing them. There were two big scandals. In 1975, the "Playland" scandal happened when the police broke a paedophile ring who were preying on kids in an amusement arcade near Piccadilly Circus called Playland. Then in 1986, another paedophile ring was broken. A social worker from Islington was brazenly pimping out young kids to paedophiles, getting them to sit in the shop window of Wimpy in Piccadilly Circus, so he could "advertise" them. Piccadilly Circus had been fairly notorious for prostitution of one sort or another since Victorian Times. It's a very different place now.
It's amazing to think that people existed back then

My favorite place❤
Did you sell yourself there?!
The intro had overtones of the Michael Caine film 'Get Carter' lol
An 'ahead of its time' Walkman at 0.27? Or a 1970s hearing aid?
Must be listening to a transistor radio - Walkman only came out in 79
