Old Britain's nightclubbing days... where Sir Elton would meet Freddie Mercury and hang out with local 'perfect strangers' unknown lads, most probably akin to who the three lads from Imagination were... I'm no homosexual, but Britain back then was really experiencing its first ever taste of 'free love', unluckily at the same time AIDS was rising fast... That nightclubbing atmosphere is what comes to my mind whenever I hear the warm funky sounds of such music...
We got this in 1982. My dad took me to see the movie Annie and then bought me this single on a 7-inch afterwards. Remember it like yesterday. Love from the States!
Not only is this a top notch tune but Imagination were so groundbreaking. Were they gay or straight? For a black band there’d been so little ‘ gender bending ‘. Sylvester and the little know Prince in 82. I was so used to the Durans, Visage, Culture Club etc camping it up. All white apart from Mikey Craig. I think they’re a great band for the music and a great band for being brave. Leee John I’m sure is a difficult man but then aren’t we all. Genius band.
Sweet hart that's just how thay rolled in the 80s I'm a hip hop dude I still wear fila Adidas track suits thither movement but the disco movement was about more outrageous the cooler u was.
The 80s what a time of our lives

Can we again start our life from 1980 to enjoy every moment of our life in a nostalgic movie play
I was a rock and metal kid back then, but it was Imagination that got me interested in, soul/ R&B, call it what you will. I still love them.
I hope you didn't abandon rock and metal completely, mate...

The outfit was one of MR T's hand me downs, apparently the A Team wanted to gay him up, but he was having none of it.
Title needs to be fixed - it reads 1981.

Jon wu nah the whole group from the lead singer to the drummer was just plain flamboyant I wonder how they sound live because they stay entertaining
Jon wu Disco had already died by 1982...even in the UK.
