  • South Canol Road is a seasonal road in Yukon. It stretches between Johnsons Crossing and Ross River. It's part of the historic Canol Road that continues into the Northwest Territories. The section is is rugged and has no services.
This video was recorded on a GoPro Hero 7 Black on the #SouthCanolRoad (starting near #JohnsonsCrossing) in #Yukon, on Sept. 9, 2021. The road continues for another two hours or so.

Very nice to see other peoples view of the trails I have taken, I camped at Lapie lake on the 12th of Sept, It was beautiful but a little cool & all the fall Colors were at their fullest, was a trip I could of make last a lot longer :)

I've never had the nerve to drive canol. Got a flat on the Dempster and had to change in in the rain and mud so I guess I've wimped out. Nice to see it vicariously.

I worked for highways on both N and S Canol Rd back in the early 80's, thanks for bringing back the memories.

What were you driving and what was your average speed?

A Chevy Trax. I generally matched the speed limit but drove much slower in many sections due to the potholes.

@@SteveCSilva did have 4 wheel drive? Or not really necessary for the road
