Rob, thanks for bringing reviews of new, pretty unknown brands to your channel. This is one of those reviews where I reallllly want to like the unit for purely superficial reasons (that's such a handsomely designed case, especially now that I see it in black rather than gray). But not only is there no active cooling for the drive and RAM, nor any thermal pad-based cooling that might help, but what mystifies me is why the sides aren't open except for those tiny slits. If Allilwava survives I hope they keep their design aesthetic and do something about the cooling.
Hey Rob - I enjoy your videos but I'm still trying to answer, "Can a mini replace my Desktop PC?" I run WIN 11 Pro and some conventional business (Excel and Word) applications and a CRM/Datbase Program that utilizes SQL. I do not play ANY video games nor do Video editing. Obviously, watch a LOT of YouTune. My current set up is a 5 to 7 year old Dell Vostro with an I-3 CPU at 3,60 HZ and 20 Gig RAM. I currently have a 2 TB "main" SSD and another SSD (on PCI Slot) and a 5TB SATA HDD. I don't think I stress ANY of the current equipment. What am I missing?
It can but you'll be limited in storage options. Most have two storage slots (e.g. 2x NVME or 1x NVME + 1 x 2.5" SATA). Modern minis will easily outperform the Dell, but whether you notice much difference will depend on if any of the tasks you're doing requires additional processing or loading times that aren't near instantaneous already.
From my experience - just moved one of my media pcs from a 5 year old i5 laptop to a 6900HX mini. There is a NOTICEABLE overall performance increase in almost every aspect of your daily activity. Another comparison- my main desktop pc is a 5700x3d cpu, 32gb ddr4 and an rx6800xt. In All desktop computing I cannot tell which pc I'm using. I would recommend Minisforum and for your use case would recommend a 690pro with 2 nvme slots that take up to 4TB each plus active cooling.
Hey does this one really have 2.5gbit Intel networking? All I can find on Amazon and stuff is only gigabit networking and no mention what chipset it uses. Would be good to know what it actually has

Weird labeling of the ports… HD for HDMI and no icons next to the USB ports. Probably to circumvent royalties. El Cheapo has joined the chat.
You are the go to for mini pc reviews, concise, detailed, straight forward comparisons. Thanks for sticking to this format.
NO LINK?
Should be fixed now.

hello, thanks for all your video's!
I only 4k video watch but I wanted to multitask on google so have 2 monitors what would be better to multitask like that
Not sure what the benefit of locking the Wattage is. Maybe they had failure with higher testing?
Very cool that you added the test for bluetooth range. Looking forward to your future reviews.
I would like to use one while wearing my Adibas shoes.
Another unbiased review, thanks.

@@Robtech I received the mini PC today and I can confirm on my unit, it came with an Intel I-225! So 2,5Gbit and stable Intel NIC onboard, I love it 😍
Hope you get your hands on the new Beelink MTL mini PC. Cheers! 👍
Yep, on the way
