Prop firms and funds they set SLs same way as you described in "Liquidity sweeps" or "SL hunting" (Some levels above or below entries some dynamic based on ATR..etc, fundamental is same), which is a directional bet on its own, confidence to win sweeping depends on which much dry powder you have, to push thru the liq zones and not to too far so it reverses back.

Prop firms and funds they set SLs same way as you described in "Liquidity sweeps" or "SL hunting" (Some levels above or below entries some dynamic based on ATR..etc, fundamental is same), which is a directional bet on its own, confidence to win sweeping depends on which much dry powder you have, to push thru the liq zones and not to too far so it reverses back.
