IAM born in 1972,my house is near charminar, very memorable scenes, no pollution, no plastics, no crowds population, no dhoka, no dikhawa, only imaandaari, that's our Hyderabad city.
Very nice video. I was born in Hyderabad and this is accurate reflection of early 80's. Several cattle on road. Rickshaws (manually pulled), some autos. Notice the striking absence of cars. Very few people had cars in 70's and early 80's till Maruti car came in around 1983 or 84. It started the car boom . Also notice the green city buses with no windows and a double decker bus still in operation in those times. There was not much spending capacity then as it is now. Hotels (restaurants) were only for food if family is not there or so. Now it is all various themed restaurants, just to explore new food. Nothing wrong but it shows how much spending capacity we gained and also created many opportunities, business, jobs etc. I dont think today's people know the Bagh-E-Aam (public garden), Bal Bhawan and also there is a 'Archealogical Musuem" in the same ground with a egyptian mummy and a second world war aircraft engine that was downed by indian soldiers. The name Tank Bund came about because we placed a PATTON tank captured during Indo-Pak war there. We could get into the tank at that time. Not sure now Now the city is all around Gachibowli, Financial District and those areas. THis video is about the 'original city'. Time has to pass, things have to change. They have changed
Tankbund is not derived from tank captured in some war. It is bund build around the tank (Hussain Sagar) to hold water. FYI Financial District is not even 1% of Hyderabad. 99% live outside of Financial District.
