Game Help is actually pretty cool. I hate watching videos with filler and Websites specifically IGN, pretty much 80% ads. You’ll scroll down to what you need and an Ads reloads the website putting you back in the top, it’s really annoying.
Stellar Blade is a good one, I find the story to be interesting, combat enjoyable, and I haven't minded the platforming personally. Exploration is great as well, good graphics, great performance

Obviously, since they were already on the chopping block. The same thing goes for Bend Studio, but I could see a scenario where Sony Bend becomes a support studio, if their next game flops. That being said, I hope both of them release successful games
@@vincevirtua It sold, but it received mixed reviews on Metacritic. Days Gone is sitting at 71 on Metacritic. The last time a PS first party game got a score that low, the studio was shut down. If Sony was happy with Days Gone, Bend Studio would be making Days Gone 2 instead of a new game
Sony acquiring Paramount gives them Indiana Jones (ironically. EDIT: Indiana jones was DISTRIBUTED by Paramount, not owned, as that is a Disney property. Thank you to those that pointed this out), as well as Star Trek, Godfather, Titanic, Mission Impossible, etc. This is a very strong IP portfolio, and a very competent production institution. This could be a new era of video-game/film crossovers.
@@mikeclark4480 Absolutely. But perhaps not a single save-the-universe storyline which is so common among videogames. Star trek tends not to excel at these (IMO). But a series of smaller stories that do world/character building, and add up to something grand.
Have you seen what Sony has done with their Spiderman IP's......?? 😂😂😂 First venom was good, 2nd was meh, Morbius was horrendous, Madame Web was the same, Kraven looks very bad aswell. Cant trust Sony if they get Paramount and their IP's, but games, lets see what happens
Funny, LBP was the first game I watched the list of and thought "not gonna happen". It's a healthy method and relieving feeling; Warhawk, Resistance 2, TLOU1, Rayman Legends and many others are hopelessly difficult or long to Platinum. Giving up is tough and sucks, but not even trying feels better if you see it beforehand.

Idk about that. I’d put combat on equal footing. NieRs combat is extremely deep with its abilities, plug in chip loadouts and FLUID AF weapon combinations. Stellar blade is just below that in most cases but the difficulty makes it equal. Story wise yea no one can replicate what Yoko Taro wrote

That grind patent would be a beautiful thing. These remasters of RPGs that don’t have a fast forward feature are such a pain. I would love being able to grind out levels with a program.
Why don't you just play rpgs that don't require much grinding? If they implement that patent its gonna be used as a way to pay for the game to play itself. You could just watch the game online or pay a real person to do it.
@@altonb.1396 I’m a sucker for the classics. I don’t mind grinding but I just picked up Grandia HD and not having some kind of fast forward option seems strange when most remasters feature one. I love Grandia and I have no problem playing it but it’s like my 3rd time going through so having some kind of option to just grind out weapon and magic levels quicker would make it so good.
Yeah I skipped the pulse elite and bought a headset from Razer (they tend to have good bass). Hope they eventually fix that issue but i dont know if this would be possible via patch. Maybe its hardware related.

I had to Google the phrase as I didn't get the reference. I appreciate the offence that it might cause but would probably be concerned by the Streisand effect that removing it had. I would say context is key and it would be reasonable to assume the game was not intending it to be offensive or be taken as that reference.

Not sure if you're gonna do an update about this, but Bethesda has clarified that the PS+ Collection SKU for Fallout 4 will specifically not get the free upgrade, but the PS+ Extra SKU will.
Other than what Sony outlined, the only other change I noticed in this update was that the Pulse 3D headset (and probably other wireless headsets) has its own defined box under the Accessories tab.
What has happened to LittleBigPlanet is sad, it use to be very popular, now it's all done because it's developers don't care enough about it anymore. Hopefully they deliver on their new IP. I'm still waiting for the PS5 Explore tab redesign update.
The auto grind thing could really ruin part of what makes trophy hunting special, like it or not trophies should be sort of difficult to get, otherwise they wouldn't mean anything, grinding is its own kind of difficult and yes it is very boring when a game has a lot of it but in the end you get a trophy saying that you did it because you poured patience and time into it.
At this point I really doubt they're ever going to add wallpapers, themes or anything PS3 and PS4 had that they just cut for this console generation. Sony simply doesn't care, they're on their way making a Pro version of the PS5 that nobody's going to buy and they're too busy nickel and diming their customers for every little thing. Good customer support is a bygone era.
Exactly I had a great infamous theme on ps4 which you can't use also bought stellar blade and it didn't came with the preorder bonus so I asked if they could help out with a code they said they won't because I ain't American last time I bought any of their exclusives never again ruining their own 1 party game launch for us just unbelievable also not getting their next console on launch

Shame about what happened with Little Big Planet, but also to those people that got locked out of their platinum. Devs should either have some update that triggers the online trophies when the game is taken offline or (crazy suggestion) don't include freaking multi-player trophies since all games eventually will be taken offline at some point.
If Sony bought Paramount, then I wonder if we'd see the Korra and TMNT Platinum games come back. The new patent doesn't sound as bad as ppl are making it out to be. If it would help me get Platinums that require monotonous grind, I wouldn't mind it
I was a serious LBP creator too, and was very involved in the community back then so I lost a lot of stuff and a lot of my community favorites are gone too. RIP to some real history. I'll always remember at least.

After the video ended, an advertisement for Paramount+ ironically played on my device. It was the long version of different live and animated characters trapped on Paramount Mountain. I truly think the phone was listening to the video content and decided this ad was for me.
Medievil has a price bug on PS store atm for people who already bought it on PS3/Vita and have premium. Even though the game is free upgrade/free for premium it's asking people to pay for it. Only fix is to claim it on PS4 store which sucks if you don't have a PS4 anymore.

24:22 I feel you. When games used to be played in arcades they were intentionally made hard to "coin it in". When games were ported to console they were made hard to make them last longer to make up for cut content due to limitations. As home hardware caught up longer games became a sign of quality. This inevitably led to inferior games being padded to give the perception of quality. Enter live service era when publishers expect you to work for their games. Now we get features that allow games to play themselves no doubt that will be pay walled. A game is to be played not worked at.

Seeing the way PlayStation has handled LBP is so depressing. My very first platinum trophy was on LBP 1 back in 2008 fell out of the series by the third game but still really sad to see
If you are playing a game, and you don't want to play a portion of it, it is not a game worth your money. Gaming is not a job, this automatic play thing is stupid, and Sony acknowledging that games are not worth your time.
A lot of people still like assassin's creed and some of the newer games force that I guess, and people hate tailing missions in black flag but I think that is still widely regarded as one of the best pirate games. A lot of people skip blightown in dark souls on repeat playtroughs or a lot of the dungeons in Elden Ring. There is often a lot of content not many people enjoy even in some of the greatest games. On a basic level this autoplay could be a quality of life/accessibility improvement.
People will call us old school or regressive for this but I agree COMPLETELY. This is a slippery slope and will turn into yet another crutch for bad game design. "You don't like this part of our game? Your press X to win button is right there. Your fault for not using it".
@@PSspecialist It might be, but I kind of fail to see a gain for it in a negative sense. A lot of the current developer/publisher choices this could address should actually be bad for them. The sort of tedium many modern games exhibit is meant to keep players playing longer and engaged, but if the game plays that portion it's bad for the creator as it is expensive to make and loses it's meaning. Which Ideally should either trim the content or make it better to keep the player actually playing. Add that if there is a patent it can't just be implemented without some consequences or restrictions. How do you feel about cheatcodes, game help, walktroughs, video guides or let's plays. Any of these could be seen as something that let's the player skip the gameplay or the portions they don't like, and these have been around for a long time. I'd also be curious to hear where do you think this could lead as there are probably a lot of things I might not be taking into account.
@@Zendariel87 I think cheat codes should have a penalty when used, so you can have fun with them but the game makes it strictly clear that you're not 100%ing it if you use them. Walkthroughs and similar stuff I have no issue with because you still need to make the inputs yourself in order to win. I see any sort of temptation to make the game easier on yourself outside of making use of gameplay mechanics as a detriment to my experience. There are a ton of rewarding gaming achievements I've made where I've had to bash my head against the wall and if at any time you'd have offered me an easy way out I'd have taken it. Getting the plat for Crash 4 is an example. Absolutely memorable experience. A ton of soulsborne examples, especially at the start when you haven't accustomed yourself to the games yet and have to die a lot to proceed. Putting the temptation of auto-play in many of these would have ruined my experience. Now you might say, how selfish of you. Just because I can't avoid the temptation means that others shouldn't get easy modes? Well not exactly. I can accept that the majority of AAA normie games will eventually adopt these features. I just want a little niche carved out for me. Not every single video game needs to be "accessible".
@@PSspecialist I think that's all very valid, I more or less share the views personally (Probably the most fun versions of cheat codes for me are in something like the first Uncharted where you can unlock the game mirrored and some other stuff if I remember right after playing through it). I hadn't really thought that the option might be visible in the screen without you going to look for it, similarly to the game help thing that some of the Playstation games have. I would be more worried about this if it was not a patent or was if the patent was held by a publisher instead of platform holder. But then again since it's Sony, it could very well make itself part of the subscriptions. I've had some time to read more discussions and I think that is a real possibility. I probably play through something like 0-2 "normie" Triple A games a year so I don't really follow that space that well. And personally I would probably get very annoyed if I tried such a feature myself, but I can see the temptation aspect if it's visible or something you get used to. But I'm also pretty naive in thinking that the AI would probably not play that well (especially if not baked into the game itself, and probably even if it was) so it wouldn't even be able to do the things I find interesting and fun. I think the closest implementation that I've seen that actually can do something are the smash bros amiibo fighters.
Honestly I’m disappointed with the fallout 4 next gen update. It’s the exact same game, just with a proper 60fps fix. I thought it would at least get witcher 3 level of improvements, the way they’re advertising this thing. But no, they simply ported the pc ultra settings version and fixed the fps. Calling it next gen is a stretch. Playing it the first 15 minutes gave me the been there done that and I can’t do it anymore
I love fast-foward function on emulators. Its so good to turbo-run through boring parts of the game. Thats why I played FF12 on PS2 emulator rather than any other platform.
People who complain about having platforms and puzzles in games: did you have a lobotomy? If games only have one mechanic (shooting/fighting) for me they are a bore. Pace changes are needed. I kinda hate the call of duty crowd. Their influence is too big and their taste so basic. I hope we never get to see puzzles and platforms discarded from AAA games. Current games are already too basic and guided as they are.
littlebigplanet can make a comeback if they make a new game and make it free to play and online and just give you the option to pay for stuff like how people pay on roblox then it would probably be successful

The fallout 4 upgrade you just have to go the view product tab pick the right edition. It is a little backward but wasn't a huge issue finding it or claiming the ps5 version.

Yeah the licensing issue is crazy. Same thing happened with Resident Evil 7, I claimed it through PS Plus and I had to buy it again to get the free PS5 upgrade. That grind patent would be a beautiful thing. These remasters of RPGs that don’t have a fast forward feature are such a pain. I would love being able to grind out levels with a program.
Why don't you just play rpgs that don't require much grinding? If they implement that patent its gonna be used as a way to pay for the game to play itself. You could just watch the game online or pay a real person to do it.
@@altonb.1396 I’m a sucker for the classics. I don’t mind grinding but I just picked up Grandia HD and not having some kind of fast forward option seems strange when most remasters feature one. I love Grandia and I have no problem playing it but it’s like my 3rd time going through so having some kind of option to just grind out weapon and magic levels quicker would make it so good.

Yeah I skipped the pulse elite and bought a headset from Razer (they tend to have good bass). Hope they eventually fix that issue but i dont know if this would be possible via patch. Maybe its hardware related.

I had to Google the phrase as I didn't get the reference. I appreciate the offence that it might cause but would probably be concerned by the Streisand effect that removing it had. Not sure if you're gonna do an update about this, but Bethesda has clarified that the PS+ Collection SKU for Fallout 4 will specifically not get the free upgrade, but the PS+ Extra SKU will.

Other than what Sony outlined, the only other change I noticed in this update was that the Pulse 3D headset (and probably other wireless headsets) has its own defined box under the Accessories tab.
What has happened to LittleBigPlanet is sad, it use to be very popular, now it's all done because it's developers don't care enough about it anymore. Hopefully they deliver on their new IP. I'm still waiting for the PS5 Explore tab redesign update.
It's not necessarily the developer, it might be Sony pulling funds or not giving more out.

The auto grind thing could really ruin part of what makes trophy hunting special, like it or not trophies should be sort of difficult to get, otherwise they wouldn't mean anything, grinding is its own kind of difficult and yes it is very boring when a game has a lot of it but in the end you get a trophy saying that you did it because you poured patience and time into it.
Most modern games already dont have trophies based on difficulty. You can just look up a guide for any trophy. So the whole trophy thing is pointless

At this point I really doubt they're ever going to add wallpapers, themes or anything PS3 and PS4 had that they just cut for this console generation. Sony simply doesn't care, they're on their way making a Pro version of the PS5 that nobody's going to buy and they're too busy nickel and diming their customers for every little thing. Exactly I had a great infamous theme on ps4 which you can't use also bought stellar blade and it didn't came with the preorder bonus so I asked if they could help out with a code they said they won't because I ain't American last time I bought any of their exclusives never again ruining their own 1 party game launch for us just unbelievable also not getting their next console on launch

Shame about what happened with Little Big Planet, but also to those people that got locked out of their platinum. Devs should either have some update that triggers the online trophies when the game is taken offline or (crazy suggestion) don't include freaking multi-player trophies since all games eventually will be taken offline at some point.
If Sony bought Paramount, then I wonder if we'd see the Korra and TMNT Platinum games come back.

24:22 I feel you. When games used to be played in arcades they were intentionally made hard to "coin it in". When games were ported to console they were made hard to make them last longer to make up for cut content due to limitations. As home hardware caught up longer games became a sign of quality. This inevitably led to inferior games being padded to give the perception of quality. Enter live service era when publishers expect you to work for their games. Now we get features that allow games to play themselves no doubt that will be pay walled.

Seeing the way PlayStation has handled LBP is so depressing. My very first platinum trophy was on LBP 1 back in 2008 fell out of the series by the third game but still really sad to see
If you are playing a game, and you don't want to play a portion of it, it is not a game worth your money. Gaming is not a job, this automatic play thing is stupid, and Sony acknowledging that games are not worth your time.
A lot of people still like assassin's creed and some of the newer games force that I guess, and people hate tailing missions in black flag but I think that is still widely regarded as one of the best pirate games. A lot of people skip blightown in dark souls on repeat playtroughs or a lot of the dungeons in Elden Ring.
There is often a lot of content not many people enjoy even in some of the greatest games.
On a basic level this autoplay could be a quality of life/accessibility improvement.
People will call us old school or regressive for this but I agree COMPLETELY. This is a slippery slope and will turn into yet another crutch for bad game design. "You don't like this part of our game? Your press X to win button is right there. Your fault for not using it".
@@PSspecialist It might be, but I kind of fail to see a gain for it in a negative sense. A lot of the current developer/publisher choices this could address should actually be bad for them. The sort of tedium many modern games exhibit is meant to keep players playing longer and engaged, but if the game plays that portion it's bad for the creator as it is expensive to make and loses it's meaning. Which Ideally should either trim the content or make it better to keep the player actually playing. Add that if there is a patent it can't just be implemented without some consequences or restrictions.
How do you feel about cheatcodes, game help, walktroughs, video guides or let's plays. Any of these could be seen as something that let's the player skip the gameplay or the portions they don't like, and these have been around for a long time.
I'd also be curious to hear where do you think this could lead as there are probably a lot of things I might not be taking into account.
@@Zendariel87 I think cheat codes should have a penalty when used, so you can have fun with them but the game makes it strictly clear that you're not 100%ing it if you use them. Walkthroughs and similar stuff I have no issue with because you still need to make the inputs yourself in order to win. I see any sort of temptation to make the game easier on yourself outside of making use of gameplay mechanics as a detriment to my experience. There are a ton of rewarding gaming achievements I've made where I've had to bash my head against the wall and if at any time you'd have offered me an easy way out I'd have taken it. Getting the plat for Crash 4 is an example. Absolutely memorable experience. A ton of soulsborne examples, especially at the start when you haven't accustomed yourself to the games yet and have to die a lot to proceed. Putting the temptation of auto-play in many of these would have ruined my experience.
Now you might say, how selfish of you. Just because I can't avoid the temptation means that others shouldn't get easy modes? Well not exactly. I can accept that the majority of AAA normie games will eventually adopt these features. I just want a little niche carved out for me. Not every single video game needs to be "accessible".
@@PSspecialist I think that's all very valid, I more or less share the views personally (Probably the most fun versions of cheat codes for me are in something like the first Uncharted where you can unlock the game mirrored and some other stuff if I remember right after playing through it).
I hadn't really thought that the option might be visible in the screen without you going to look for it, similarly to the game help thing that some of the Playstation games have. I would be more worried about this if it was not a patent or was if the patent was held by a publisher instead of platform holder.
But then again since it's Sony, it could very well make itself part of the subscriptions. I've had some time to read more discussions and I think that is a real possibility.
I probably play through something like 0-2 "normie" Triple A games a year so I don't really follow that space that well.
And personally I would probably get very annoyed if I tried such a feature myself, but I can see the temptation aspect if it's visible or something you get used to. But I'm also pretty naive in thinking that the AI would probably not play that well (especially if not baked into the game itself, and probably even if it was) so it wouldn't even be able to do the things I find interesting and fun.
I think the closest implementation that I've seen that actually can do something are the smash bros amiibo fighters.

Honestly I’m disappointed with the fallout 4 next gen update. It’s the exact same game, just with a proper 60fps fix. I thought it would at least get witcher 3 level of improvements, the way they’re advertising this thing. But no, they simply ported the pc ultra settings version and fixed the fps. Calling it next gen is a stretch. Playing it the first 15 minutes gave me the been there done that and I can’t do it anymore
I love fast-foward function on emulators. Its so good to turbo-run through boring parts of the game. Thats why I played FF12 on PS2 emulator rather than any other platform.
People who complain about having platforms and puzzles in games: did you have a lobotomy? If games only have one mechanic (shooting/fighting) for me they are a bore. Pace changes are needed. I kinda hate the call of duty crowd. Their influence is too big and their taste so basic. I hope we never get to see puzzles and platforms discarded from AAA games. Current games are already too basic and guided as they are.
littlebigplanet can make a comeback if they make a new game and make it free to play and online and just give you the option to pay for stuff like how people pay on roblox then it would probably be successful

I couldn't claim the PS5 version of Fallout 4 even though I had it from the Ps Plus collection since PS5 launch
The fallout 4 upgrade you just have to go the view product tab pick the right edition. It is a little backward but wasn't a huge issue finding it or claiming the ps5 version.
I have the PS+ version and the only options for the ps5 version are to buy it for $20 or upgrade to ps+ extra/premium.
I'm sadly a premium subscriber so that may have something to do with it but I think they've sorted it out now

Yeah the licensing issue is crazy. Same thing happened with Resident Evil 7, I claimed it through PS Plus and I had to buy it again to get the free PS5 upgrade. Did you happen to switch microphones recently? I'm not sure if I'm the only one hearing this, but it's been quite noticeable to me, and it's been bothering me a bit as I hear it consistently.
Haha! I was thinking about mentioning this but genuinely thought nobody else would notice or care. I think the audio might be over-compressed maybe(?). Some mouth noises and consonants seem very loud and I think it's called plosives. Misophonic victims like us just can't ignore it.
The collection for PS5 version of Fallout 4 isn’t entitling me to the PS5 version.
Was a buy, it no longer, they went to far In Censorship. I want reasonable artist full representation. Not what some committee said was their vision of appropriate art. People so sensitive today they see a devil behind every bush, it’s exhausting and decreasing the artist vision. Won’t support. But glad it’s doing well as the artist should not be punished for committee over hatcheting.
