Charlotte Riley is a really good actress. She starred with Tom Hardy in this British organized crime TV drama set in the 1980's called "The Take." They're both great in it, and Brian Cox plays the head of the crime family. I think it's actually on Amazon Prime right now.

That's also why modern tobacco tastes and smells so foul, because 90~95% percent of them is the flavour of the chemicals and 10~5% tobacco flavour (unless you're buying the proper 100% pure unadulterated stuff from a tobacconist) (also back during the time that this is set they wouldn't have had as many additives in there as we do now but there were still far more and much worse than the unadulterated plant the Native Americans used to smoke) Most herbal cigarettes are actually pretty safe for you (bar the carbonisation) due to not containing any nicotine and also none of the chemicals that cigarettes do, just aromatic and medicinal herbs, spices and flowers (unless you're absolutely caning them like one would do on set with multiple takes, though they probably stubbed them out in between shots so he wasn't *constantly* smoking). Mugwort for example, when combusted and inhaled helps clear and expand the lungs and allows for greater oxygen absorption in the tissue. (I myself despise modern cigarettes and tobacco, I hate the taste of all the chemicals, the smoke said chemicals give off makes me feel physically ill and they have claimed several of the people I knows lives.
