    How would these compare to OAKLEYS PRIZM lenses?

    Which lens are better, Maui Jim, Ray Ban, or Oakley?????

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  7 месяцев назад +1

      Depends what you’re using them for! Lifestyle and athleisure plays to MJ & RayBan lenses. But for sports, Oakleys PRIZM tech takes the trophy 🏆

      Hey MG! All Maui Jim sunglasses are polarized and include patented PolarizedPlus2® lens technology, which stops 99.9% of glare, blocks 100% of harmful UV, and absorbs harmful blue light, all while enhancing color.

    I just bought a pair of Red Sand neutral grey, how can I find out what material are the lenses?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  Год назад

      Hi Enrique! The Red Sands plano (non Rx lens) that comes with the frame is made of Maui Pure material which is similar to Trivex.

    Very nice! Sunglasses can really see thru vehicle windshields? Standard polarized can't do this. Would like to wear on a motorcycle and being able to see thru car windows is important for safety.

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  Год назад +1

      Hi there! You can absolutely operate a vehicle while wearing polarized lenses. The same is true if you're looking inward from the outside of the vehicle. But, this depends on how much light is available for the surrounding area, whether the windows are tinted, and how dark or mirrored the glasses are. For a motorcycle, many people opt for a photochromic lens that adjusts it's tint to light and prefer non-polarized lenses for this reason. 🏍️

    Do all the MJ glasses have like that film/line that seems to go horizontally across the lense?

    • @NoizeTank
      @NoizeTank Год назад +1

      It's mainly the 4 base lenses that have it visible (Neutral Grey, HCL Bronze, Maui Rose, HT Lens). Most other variations have a mirror coating on top which hide that. The bi-gradient (mirrors on the top third and bottom third of the lenses) are there to "squint" for your eyes and helps in being able to see clearly.

    I've been told you can see your phone screen without landscape orientation with PolarizedPlus2 lenses. Fact or fiction?

    • @NoizeTank
      @NoizeTank Год назад

      I can attest that I can see my iPhone screen with these lenses. As far as I know, there are different types of polarization that can be used in lenses and it happens to be that the type used here still allow for phone usage. I still can't see computer screens with these lenses though.

    • @bebopacoco
      @bebopacoco 10 месяцев назад

      It depends on how the screen is polarized and how the glasses are polarized. I find that Maui jims work for cell phones and Mac iirc
