      You mean it isn’t just me?! Oddly, watching this was so stressful, but when he actually touched the drains and they didn’t do anything, it released some of the tension. The anticipation from a distance tends to be scarier. I don’t want to just hang out on top of pool drains either though. Why does this pool need that many drains?! But also, I think I hate the dark-colored jets and some of the other sketchy-looking things on the walls even more.

    Just imagine walking down to where the drains are without noticing them, and then you feel one so you swim faster than light over to the shallow end

    This is a cool video! I used to have a phobia of being in pools alone (I'm much better about it now) and videos like this with someone simply swimming in the pool alone and touching the drains are really comforting to me because they show that nothing bad will happen and that pools are fun, not scary. Thank you for posting!

      Oddly, that’s kind of the feeling I got once he touched the drains. Everything leading up to that was so stressful though. Also the sketchy things on the walls.

      And that's the most safest food rain because if you just lay on a pool drain you're pretty much get stuck there if it's on and you probably might drown which you will drown unless it has a safeties system

      Omg me to except my nightmares like this r in a indoor Olympic swimming pool and the drains r twice the size of these and sucking me down and the walls of the pool r too high to reach to grab hold of and no ladders. Then right as they pull me down I wake up in a cold sweat breathing heavy! Uhh I fucking hate those dreams. Oddly enough I actually like pool drains and interested in them as long as they r VGB.

      Actually, this doesn't change the level of suction at all! It just distributes it so each individual drain has less suction overall and is therefore more safe. The only way to increase the amount of overall suction is to increase the power of the pump or add more pumps

      @@terraterra7000 yes I am aware of this, that law is called the Virginia Graham baker pool and spa safety act. What I am questioning is what that kid said, how would that be the exact reason to add 12 unneeded drains to a normal sized pool? I think that was just an assumption made. The story is true about a kid getting their intestins sucked out by a drain and that girl was Abigail Taylor and there were a few others.

    Drain overkill. For that pool size, only 2 inter-connected are necessary. I have swam at much larger pool with a diving well (18 feet), and that only has 4.

      Exitalarms 120 {mini test man} the drains are not for draining they are a part of the filtration system, some of them are for draining like at the end of summer but any before that they help with the filtration system

      But that doesn't anwer my question as to why a relatively small pool would have a need for 12 large drains in the deep end. You can even see the water rippling above them. It would be understandable if this was a water park catch pool for water slides feeding water to the many pumps, but this type of setting is rediculous

    All of my life, we’ve had a pool. Never in my 13 years have I been injured by drains. For 12 years, we had non VGB compliant covers. Until last year, we replaced them with safer drains. I even sat on the old ones and played inches away from them and never got hurt.

    Thank GOD they got rid of that awful plastic/rubber/razor blade deck covering!! I've always loved this place but it used to be painful to actually get TO the pool.

    Having so much pool drains is a waste of electricity, the drainage and pumping needs electricity to work, and if all are going at once, the electric bill get higher, the more that it's on
