I Was Born In The Way Late 50's So I Was Raised Up Going On Those GM Fishbowl Buses And They Had Style All Their Own Too Bad I Don't See Them Anymore,Great Video!
i drove most of these buses when they were at wilson division & i know i drove both 2444 & 2290 numerous times each; the gm buses weren't quick off the line, didn't have air-conditioning & were not disability-accessible, but were fun to drive, especially in snow; i really miss them, especially their sound...
I remember this day like it was yesterday. I really miss seeing these buses driving around.
A moment in history
GOOD BYE FISHIE AND THANK YOU FOR GOOD MEMORIES

Those buses were the best. I rarely see them breaking down. I'll certainly miss them.

And reliable.
Didn't the Fishbowl buses with the big box on the rear window have air conditioning?
Mehul Thind
Probably since it’s in the North and does not get too hot I think.
@@42luke93 oh, it gets plenty hot here in the sumertime, with high humidity...
the ttc was just too cheap to purchase air-conditioned buses...
dave oh
Oh wow, like comeon.
Nice job on the video. I am a retired TTC employee so I really like these videos. THANK YOU KINDLY.
I sure miss those 6-71 engine sounds
Bus #2290 was sent to Ireland where they collect old buses from transit companies.
So was 2291.
Beautiful buses love the sound!Fishbowl👍👍
Tienen sonido de autobuses de central camionera
It amazes me how a 30 year old Detroit Diesel can produce no smoke at all.
@@antoniojmonetti Detroit Diesels have a reputation of being smokey engines. These ones are exceptional.

Were Toronto Transit Commission's GM T6H-5307N New Looks a mainstay of their fleet through the 1990s and in to the ENTIRE 2000s?
Yup almost a 1000 of them in service at one point in that time frame
@manudogom1764 Some even were in service by December 31, 2009 which marked the end of the 2000s decade.
for fans of TTC fishbowl buses rapido trains is doing a 1/87 scale. bus numbers will be 7737,7910,8049,8058 and 8155
So 52 Route was majority of 1991 Orion Vs until their retirement in 2009, then GM Fishies took over.
WHY DO THEY CALL THEM NEW LOOK . IS THAT THEY RRBUILD THEM FRPM THE GROUND UP
I wonder why RTS didn’t last as long as GM Fishbowl.
Scrapped... Only two remain. (For charter and special events)
I thought those came with the 6V92TA motor.
Is got to be the fishbowl
Los autollamados camiones "Chatos" en la década de los 60's en la CDMX
Sad, sad, sad!!! Why, why, why???
All good things must come to an end.
At least they preserved 2252
Los "chimecos" de Toronto
did all of the buses had to go to the dump?
Ni
Why exactly were they called “New Look?”
Because they came after the Old Look. I’m not kidding, 1959 I think they came out, they were the New Look of transit buses at the time.
If you've watched Jackie Gleason from the Honeymooners, the bus he drove in the picture were the "Old Looks".
