KatanaZero doesn´t feel like a product, but more like an artwork. Every single piece of this game has a purpose, it isn´t there just because thats what the game needs to be sold. This soundtrack is already amazing and I can´t wait to play this dLc!

Katana ZERO is a compelling game on its own, but the soundtrack is responsible for the atmosphere that all the other parts have to breathe in. I love the gameplay, the characters, the story, but it’s the soundtrack that sucks me back into this beautifully uneasy world you’ve all created.
Somehow, this little game with its relatively short runtime and (albeit beautiful) pixel art graphics keeps pulling me back in ways that my most cherished games fail to do. The moment I hear Full Confession and I start thinking about this world again, it’s just unreal.
Dude, I’m just in awe. I almost feel bad for you having to experience this from the critical perspective of a creator, since I honestly think that Katana ZERO would rank highly against all other experiences in my life, it’s just like nothing else.
If you’re ever doubting yourself (which, given the overwhelming praise in this comment section, I’d be surprised if you even could) just know that you’re a genius and you’ve done what every artist aspires to do in their life.
I don’t wanna get too sappy about videogames but this one got away from me…

It’s March 2023 now. And i still waiting and waiting and hoping this DLC will come out soon. I finish the game over and over for more than 30 times now. I don’t think i can wait anymore.
I love the style of this song, how it gets more chaotic and staggered as it goes on, like shifting tides getting more and more unsettled. It really captivates the feeling of "I'm running out of time" that Zero and the other NULLs are dealing with

the similarity of the sounds used for "breath of a serpent", the broken dragon statue, and the sound of a ticking clock in the beat, plus we know that fifteen is suffering withdrawal (as in he's running out of time); i can't help but feel like this is the soundtrack of gamma fifteen's death. i do hope we have at least one more mission playing him in the DLC.
i like to think this is the equivalent of the Bunker levels for fifteen/whatever character we'll be playing during this part, given the buildup seems pretty similar to how Delusive Bunker sounds. thanks for making such a great OST, Ludowic!

the insane part about the whole soundtrack is how you immediately go slicing people around, dodging bullets, and sometimes even launch the game, it really captures the vibe like nothing else

The beginning tune completely scrambled my brain trying to get its timing down, but it seemed to get in step as it melded with the progression later on; not a feeling I'm used to getting in music.
The whole track is fantastic with it as well, sets a good uneasiness as we get into slicing and dicing. Thank you for the early preview, can't wait for the DLC to drop for equal parts gameplay, story, and music!

I just found out about this game and also just beat the game as well. I fell in love. I’ve never been into platformers but, playing this game made me feel like a kid again playing on my gameboy on a long ride home. The gameplay, the story, the soundtrack. It brought tears when I finished. Cant wait for the DLC.

This soundtrack, at my university we had to write about some of our favourite game soundtracks (taking game design) and some guy posted how his favourite song was SNOW so I gave it a listen and here we are today, the katana zero soundtrack is one of my all time favourites and I’m trying to get the soundtrack on vinyl. Absolutely amazing words can’t describe how good this soundtrack sounds I’m so hyped for the dlc

Edit: for yall who hasnt seen askiisoft's new tweet, he reposted a tweet about the dlc hinting that its almost done
And he also released an april fools dlc which is an alternate timeline katana "hero" and whats weird is there are hints on the DLC: in the bunker level, where the chronos containers are, are actual NULL soldiers being absorbed chronos out of their bodies, instead of skeletons being displayed in the original game, which probably shows the past NULL soldiers during the war. when you finish the game, it hints the dlc storyline with either Tragedy or Comedy talking to zero about loosing control after he watched the katana hero tape, which is probably hinting on whats about to happen in the continuing storyline. when going to the level select, the "BOSS" footage looked exactly like this, the dragon level. Which is weird because it doesnt hint anything and it also doesnt play the chemical brew ost… its probably just a hint, idk

The fact that the art has a dragon thats cut up, could mean a zero vs fifteen fight… since fifteen is the “Dragon” after all.
Apparently they have some backstory so this is definitely possible
This background was posted a while ago by Askii. I'm willing to bet that it's just the only content he wants out right now, so it's used as a "default" background. Cool to think about all the 15 theories though
