@@John115Yonkers pre filling the oil filter isn't going to change anything but make a mess, it's a filter, not a pump. Unless your oil change takes two days you should have PLENTY of residual oil throughout your engine and in the cylinder heads. That advice is for beginners but it's also proven unnecessary. I can agree with cleaning off the surface if there was anything to clean off other than oil.

Should have cleaned the filter area first THEN, PRE-filled that oil filter. This car takes 6qts.
