I think you didnt get the "i only solved 5 sides once".. This is what it meant, in a cube there are 6 sides so that means if u solved 5 sides technically u solved the whole cube because what other remaining color are there that is unsolved,which means the remaining color would be solved because where else would the pieces move to if you solved 5 side already?

I feel like the whole math and cubing thing could stem from being able to remember complex sequences (both on cube and calculus) In other words, they can look ahead and have better intuition as to how and where the numbers fit within an equation and what it could mean whats its implied to something real world or logarithmic applications. I feel like both math and cubing need a good intuition thats comprised around the basis of pure logic and non arbitrary problem solving

I have a maths degree and probably about half the people I've met who cube are have done extension maths, sometimes years above their age level. That's not typical of the general population. And the 5-sided one - you seemed to miss the point. Either the guy is lying or solved the whole cube without realising. Either way, to claim to solve 5 sides out of 6 is either sarcastic or really stupid.
