Ikr I recently found him like a month ago and was sad when I noticed he hasn't uploaded without any update for the community from 9 months I can't believe he is back
He's back! Unbelievable, I'm really happy you're back my friend. I was hoping you were doing well! Love the content as always and I can't wait to watch.
Balthasar, thank you for taking the time to present your viewers nothing but the best for your videos. Even though we don’t get uploads as regular as we wish, I would prefer always quality over quantity. You definitely have one of the best channels when it comes to historical warfare. Thank you! ❤
Watching your old videos, when the notification popped up, I could do nothing but oblige! Thank you for your hard work BazBattles, we show nothing but our gratitude!
Just yesterday night I was checking the comments on your last video relating to the people who missed your content when I asked myself, how awesome it would be if you’d upload to suprise us all and put us at ease. Hope you’re doing well! Awesome content as always.
This is the most informative account I have ever seen with information about wrong ships being attacked at the beginning and other details not mentioned elsewhere. Thank you. I visited Pearl Harbor in 2017. It was a very moving experience.
Tbh the thing that I like most of these videos aren’t just the videos alone, which are great, but the narrators voice! You and epic History TV have to have the best narrators voice that I’ve come to come across RUclips, with no offense to any other RUclips Chanel of this type of videos
What are the odds? I literally checked your channel yesterday to see if I had missed anything, because it felt like an eterinity since your last upload. And then you upload something today!
I was just wondering the other day where you went. Wish you had done a battle that most people don’t already know about but still good to see you again and I look forward to future videos :)
Heard this story told several times by different tellers. Nevada getting underway is consistently mentioned, but her magazines being empty....those mad lads. They weren't going anywhere, and possibly even knew the smaller bombs couldn't threaten her without a magazine hit, which were empty. They were presenting a moving target that could take those hits. Magnificent. How many lives did they save by being the shield? Always respected anyone that serves, and things like this are why.
So good to see a video about Pearl Harbor, learning about it definitely affected me as a kid. My grandpa on my mother's side served in the navy and was stationed there - thankfully after the attack had happened.
The USA always brushed off the fact that a radar operator spotted the mass of Japanese planes were in the air but was told it was naval air exercises, despite no american carriers were in or near that area. The commanding officer that day was NOT up to date on available info despite its availability.
Glad you’re back! Interesting fact about Pearl Harbor: The attack was inspired by a book called the Great Pacific War by Hector C. Bywater, which inspired Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto
My great grandfather was on the Utah the day of the attack, after it sunk he would be moved to the USS Salt Lake City heavy cruiser which would escort aircraft carriers in the doolittle raid.
youtube channel Drachinifel made a set of videos on the recovery and repair efforts to salvage the ships after the attack, really interesting topic in itself and really showcases how superior the US forces were in logistics and ingenuity at the time.
I'm listening to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History series Supernova in the East and I just got to the Attack on Pearl Harbor. It's great to have this amazing piece to provide context and compliment the podcast, and vice versa!
Suprised you didn't note that the modifications the Japansese made to allow their torpedoes to operate in shallow water had been stolen from the British after Japan studied their attack on the Italaon naval base of Taranto, the OG Pearl Harbour.
One small caviat for me (history buff coming in full force hehe) The "nearby repair ship" was USS Vestal, and she was already on fire from eariler attacks. The detonation of Arizona in fact blew out the fires on Vestal like a birthday candle, saving the ship and allowing it to later keep Enterprise alive through many, many battles. Otherwise the video is great!
Also, WV might've rolled over like OK did, but her crew managed to flood the other side of the ship (albeit at the expense of a few unlucky enough to be trapped by the water); as a result, she sank upright, ready to be refloated.
Within the course of WWII, the Japanese lost all 6 Pearl Harbor carriers, both Pearl Harbor battleships, and their dreams of an empire they exactly went to war over.
RIP To the 2,403 American navymen and civilians who were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor RIH To the 64 Imperial Japanese servicemen who were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor
Baz battles is alive, I thought something might have happened to him/them in real life, good to see him/them back again and it's damn good to see the animation back again.
Baz was my first history channel on RUclips. I'm very glad to have you back and very thankful that you helped me fully discover my passion for history!
And just when it seemed all hope was lost, and that the light was fading from the world… a hero appears. Glad to have you back, Baz. Stick around a while!
He's alive! Always happy to see your videos!
Indeed
Between the both of your channels it keeps me alive 👍
@Kings and Generals Where is our remastered version of the Diadochi series?
I was just about to post the same thing!
Frankenstein moment
“When the world needed him most, he returned.”
Also, your animations have improved greatly, the first vid I watched was Operation Rheinübung.
That was my personal favorite. I love the Bismarck.
My man goes away for twelve months and then thinks he can drop a bomb, (no pun intented) like this and not saying anything SMH..... Welcome back
Yeah back with a sneak attack !
Well he chose an appropriate battle for that...
Not to be annoying but he’s been away for 10 months
My heart skipped a beat when I got this notification. God bless ya Baz, it’s good to have you back.
Same reaction. I was like "No way..." and then "Finally !"
@@Paludion Lets hope it doesnt take another 10 months for the next video

Same. What a pleasant surprise
A lost battalion vid would send me over the moon
It's so fitting that you released a video on THIS topic after that long silence. Truly a Pearl Harbor moment for us......
Fantastic to see Baz Battles is back once again! Perhaps a World War One battle sometime in the future?
We should get to that in 3-5 years
This shit gave me goosebumps by the end when they talked about no aircraft carriers were present during the attack. Wrong move 🤣
I understand your request, but read 'A world war I battle sometime in the future' again. Ha ha!

what I like about your videos is that you don't engulf us with details that too much of them is boring, but rather you keep it simple. great job
Holy shit you're alive
The quality of these videos is unmatched
Great work
I click on this channel first time in a year and I see "video uploaded 1 min ago" what are the odds

*"THE RETURN OF THE KING"*
Amazing video, and awesome to see you post again!
Glad you’re back!
Interesting fact about Pearl Harbor: The attack was inspired by a book called the Great Pacific War by Hector C. Bywater, which inspired Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto
The Japanese also used the British attack on Toranto (the Italian fleet base) as inspiration for the attack.
@@questionmark05 The Japanese were considering an air strike on Pearl Harbor long before the British attack on Taranto.
Yes! Welcome back, the battle is about to begin!

Drachinifel does some good naval videos i think my favorite video is "the Russian 2nd pacific Squadron - votage of the damned"
