  • Qualified first for this race despite not being able to put in an actual clean lap time (we spent more than half the practice/quali under yellow and red flags), but started at the back of the grid to try and go from last to first.
I had a feeling it'd be easy enough, little did I know though that it'd take only one full racing lap to get it done.

Where do you get those overlays?
    Great driving as well👍

So the background portion and anything fixed (like Lap/Pos etc) of the overlay I made in Photoshop, the laptimer is done in After Effects with a text layer and expressions then exported with a transparent background which I overlay over each lap, then the actual lap, position, last/best laptimes are just text in Premiere Pro
The starting lights are also just images I made in Photoshop - one for each stage

No problem, still working on them cause I'm not 100% happy but they do the job for now 😅

Is this a member event or a regular experience event? It looks like most of them are new to karting. Either way that was some good karting.

This was a regular experience event, the Open GP on a Saturday. Admittedly it wasn't a fair fight, but I didn't expect to get it done that quickly with some of the field having a bit of pace 😅
