Getting caught up with some vids I missed. With regards to my Tudor... I have experimented with using some thick black rubber as spacers as you did with the wood. I had to stack them as they were on 3/4 thick. I filled the mounting areas with them and allowed the arrangement to lift the subrail 1/8th from the rail...... we'll see how it works....my simple mind thought it may dampen some additional amount vibration transfer. Maybe. Haven't tackled that roof yet. Decided I needed to finalize some lower level issues. Finalize the subrail mounting, door adjustment and such. Staying on task is difficult in my shop.
Is this the same body type as the yellow roadster [can't remember?]. Yellow is model T right? This one a model A? Gahhhh... If the same.. just thinking you could make templates for the rear wheel section metal for the more beat up and roached Sweetheart one].
Noob question here but why the wooden blocks? Would metal not serve the same purpose and also last longer, not be easy easily susceptible to water etc.
@@IronTrapGarage thanks for the quick reply. I've just about caught up on the Sweet Heart playlist. I skipped to the end quick and the last video was Dec '18, hope it picks up again soon.
For my 36 ford I needed to raise the body so I used 16 polyurethane boat trailer rollers, they come pre-drilled too, work great, will never rot and u can get them in different widths! farm8.staticflickr.com/7823/31492255867_67182056d9_b.jpg

Looking great!
Thank you Harold!

Model A and Model T. Totally different. No biggie I’ll make custom ones from scratch 🤘

Wood is what was used originally and has some vibration dampening to it over metal.

Can I mount a 32 or 33 Body on a Model A Frame ??
Anything is possible but that doesn’t make sense since the frame is smaller and less strong.
