As a fun fact, there's another more obscure song that's very similar to Gensokyo Millenium... although I guess it's really the other way around. It's a swedish folk tune called "skänklåt från Rättvik", and the two noteable modern adaptations of it that I've found are in a track from Kebnekaise under the same name (ruclips.net/video/tjvvILhITZg/видео.html the 2hu kicks in at 2:50), and We Will Rise by Tungsten. I think it's pretty neat just how similar the main melody is - if even a very cultured touhou fan were to hear it, i feel like 99 times out of 100 they'd assume the obvious.
