Mama always say if we want good we nose have to run now we know what they mean hard work to achieve what we want its a good look bro coming along nicely u never have to pull down the blocks long as u full the pockets they will hold from rebar in them then casting the stiffner will seal it off and be carful on the ladder like that level it and put a piece of ply on it 16" or 2' so u wont fall through i know we run a lot of risk as construction workers blessings
I was telling the guy laying the blocks to knock it down and he didnt so thats why I took them off and I didnt want to crack it when im boxing up that column..
Hello Ghetto, I was in your beautiful country about a month ago. Did a little property hunting. I was REALLY hoping to see you around and meeting up with you in person. Perhaps the next time. 🤜🏿🇯🇲🇨🇦🤛🏼
If i had to take so many heavy loads upstairs I would use pulley/block and tackle or winch. Its a good look. I love construction and gardening but I use every easy method, tool and technique I can to make strenuous things easier.
@@paynefuldiy and another thing I noticed and have realized, some guys there who call themselves contractor are not in the true essence of the word. I will be my own general contractor..
because most of the soft concrete is at the top of the bucket i try to share it between 2 pocket and since I'm going to full all the pockets i pour it in the 1 closer to me first

Great job bro....do the resent earthquake change your mind on our building style in jamaica
blessings bro.... the style of building code in jamaica was made for it so ill continue on this path
@paynefuldiy yeah but not many go by that building code
Sounds like NHT did you a favor?

Why did you not acquire a portable mixer? Ps. I love your determination..
its expensive

Thanks for the tips!
Does it mean NHT will approve you for a loan in the future? That way u can use that money to do the finishes
yes I can re-apply for a loan for a different property. the process is way harder for this property
Or wah?
I am coming home to start on my first of three houses. I won't be doing this work manually. Heck no. A mixer is an absolute..
Best idea is the mixer but if you get a contractor that would be better
@@paynefuldiy and another thing I noticed and have realized, some guys there who call themselves contractor are not in the true essence of the word. I will be my own general contractor..
That's the best way the go monitor your thing better
So the first bucket of stuff, you didn't pour it into the steel pockets 😢😢 always full steel pockets first 🤔
because most of the soft concrete is at the top of the bucket i try to share it between 2 pocket and since I'm going to full all the pockets i pour it in the 1 closer to me first
I am in Jamaica now, just returned from overseas after a long time. Any advice you would give me? I want to buy a lot and build.

You going a good job where are you located have some work to do
im in portmore the idea is to get the home owners to know how to do the job.. so if you need help im there but from now im only DIY om my home
Which of your videos show the way you do the upper floors? Do you pour them too? I will have a look through all your videos.
thank for the support. we used premix to pour the slab
Wear some gloves and safety glasses my brother..
Aha, your are wearing gloves
Wouldn't forming it up and pouring the walls instead of blocks save you more ?
I have the time but not the money to box and cast 😔
@@paynefuldiy Yea building ain't easy..also you would need snap ties and shoes lots of lumber
wherein jamaica can we get some snap ties
general, does the $8,000 include the filling of the block pockets too or just the laying of the blocks?
Its just for 1 laborer and block laying no filling up of block pockets
when u say 1 laborer, are referring to person laying the blocks?
yes he brought a guy with him
respect general@@paynefuldiy
Are you a Mason , Are you doing a DIY ?
Just Diy we learning as we go
