- What a day!!! I went to Keighley to catch The Scarborough Spa, like you do. As there had been an over head line issue meaning everything was delayed and making the Special over 86 min late, I went for a wonder. I paid a pound for my platform Ticket and soaked up the nostalgia.... again. And as if by magic a steam train appeared 78022. Fantastic Bonus. Kill 2 birds with one stone I thought lol. Anyway they held it up so the passengers could see the Scarborough Spa lol. So technically I saw them both ....

Thanks, mate. To say it was running so late it turned the coin for me, and it ended up being a good time. I didn't realise that the first train would be a steam train on the KWVLR. And yes, 78022 was an absolute beast. It was well and truly slightly missing the Spa lol I had to keep filming as it went out of shot as it sounded so good. A moment in time captured

Necked the mileage from our house to Fitzwilliam it’s. 36 minute drive, and 19 miles away.

@@donnypete strangely before I met my wife Julie, I went out with someone from Upton, and as well as delivering the area, used to drive over after work. Just forgot how far it is, and I have the same WF postcode 😀

Yes, mate. Almost every morning. It does Skipton to London King's Cross via Leeds. Sometimes, it's an Azuma. But mainly a 225 set. It comes from Neville Hill around 0630 and then goes out at 0656. 91106 was on this morning. There were overhead problems in the early hours, so it ran ran late and formed the Skipton to Leeds. And it stopped at every station nearly to Leeds to pick up late running passengers due to cancellations, lol. Bit of a suprise
The scarboroubh spa express was 84L from carnforth. I saw it at woodlesford nr leecs where it was 46 L
It made some good time up
something a bit different Pete. Quite sporadic to go from Donny to Keighley nonetheless still enjoyable 👍🏻
