He's describing the feeling when the god of the universe sets his sight upon him and presses his face against him and he is comsumed by the fire and hears the voice and feels the presence of HIM within in his heart... had it been a love song for anything other than, it would of been full of sorrow being that the thing he loves is gone or out of reach. However it is for the one who loves him, he's just reassuring HIM that he is waiting. Just a fact.

A lot of Christian rock songs are like that. It's a major flaw of the genre, not because of any inherent problem with that style, but because it saps originality and artistic merit by making so many songs seem the same. Some bands (NeedtoBreathe, of course!) manage to make it work, though - and of course it makes for more universal appeal.

Yes....except NeedtoBreathe played at the christian concert winter jam, they play their music on multiple christian radios, this song was on Wow Christian Hits 2012, and the band mates spoke at winter jam about how this was a song about wanting to give up in life but falling down on your knees and accepting god into your life....just saying

I am Buddhist, I come from a a pretty strict christian/catholic family, but luckily my parents are open to alot of things, I still believe in god, but I choose to be Buddhist.
