That’s on me! I’m still getting used to the game, but you are right. I played this without those, but a normal game should consist of them, with holy water being used to treat them. I like this rule as opposed to zombies spawning immediately in every room like Black Plague, even though I love BP!
This rule poleaxed my first game of UoA! 4 of my survivors got stuck in a room with a constantly spawning corpse pile, not helped by terrible dice rolls! Surrounded by 28 zombies by the end of the 4th round!?
Thanks for the video. I think you might have missed a rule on how Vade Retro works. It can only be placed in a zone with at least 1 zombie because as soon as there are no more zombie in the zone, the token is removed. It's still very powerful
Really glad you’re enjoying it! As someone who has played a ton of Black Plague (and has almost everything available for it) along with Marvel Zombies on order, I’ve been debating selling this one off. Glad to hear it’s different enough I might have to keep it!
We share the same love for left4dead and zombie slayin. Thanks for the video, I realized a couple things we were doing wrong. We primed 120 minis yesterday and got 7 runners painted today. to try them out tonight still! Glad to hear you love this game, we do too!!!
I kinda like your enthusiasm and i'm thinking too that the western flavour adds so much to zombicide as a game! However the play was a lot "homebrewed": the game is hard by itself, but some of the misplays made it harder, while other easier; in the end i think you played a game of the correct difficulty, even being a little bit of a different game from undead or alive XD I will search the channel for other gameplays
Welcome!! And enthusiasm I have plenty of 😂, board game knowledge on the other hand may vary! As for the game, this was (at the time) only my 4th or 5th play, so I’m certain there were some rules misses, but I also think the more I’ve play Zombicide in general, the more home-brewing and creating your own scenarios and house rules just makes the game last longer in my collection! It kinda lends itself to that. Hmmm… maybe this is a video topic I’ll try 😂
@@Tablenauts i totally agree with you: while playing the missions from the base game, I've already made a couple of missions by my own... and now i'm trying to home rule the wagon in something more tactical XD
just one question about gunslinger /fanning. gunslinger class CAN fan any pistol (otherwise use that pistol normally with dice number/succes like every other class) or they MUST fan any pistol? thank you
Just needed to check this out. I've got it sitting for Christmas right now. Actually this will be my first Zombiecide game. Seriously, zombies, the wild west, and trains. It's like a no brainer lol. Oh yeah, and a Gatlin gun.. Cool play video.
@Tablenauts Hey! Just found out about this channel! I'm not sure how that playthrough was so short..(?) A couple of questions: 1. How do you esimate your future will experience this game expansions? 2. How would you rate your TOP5 Zombicide games?
1. I will have to let you know when I play them! Haha I have only used a few extra abominations so far. 2. I would rate this one highest, followed by Black Plague/Green Horde, followed by Invader/Black Ops. I have not played the modern themed Zombicide in its first or second edition!
Yea the class abilities are super cool, and a great addition. I think the game is going to take a while to get all the rules down, but I’m excited to see what the rest of the missions/extras add!
@@Doolin_Tablenauts I don't think a Vade Retro token can exist in a zone without zombies. Page 23 of Rulebook: "Vade Retro tokens are automatically removed whenever there are no Zombies in their Zone." This is a game state check. But also: " As soon as Zombies in the targeted Zone activate, all Vade Retro tokens in the Zone are removed and Zombies in the targeted Zone lose their whole Activation (Runners, for example, won’t perform their 2 Actions)." So Runners lose both actions. Effectively same result in your case.
@@EliteC64 Don't think that's exactly right. RAW seems to hint that the entire activation is lost, not just 1 action. Page 23, first bullet: "Zone activate, all Vade Retro tokens in the Zone are removed and Zombies in the targeted Zone lose their whole Activation (Runners, for example, won’t perform their 2 Actions)"
Nice game. Thinking about adding Undead or Alive to my Zombicide collection!
What happened to all the extra spawn zones that should off activated every time you’d enter a building.

My copy should arrive this week! Looking forward to getting this to the table. Thanks for the play through. Looks like a fun game.
It’s a blast so far, and I’ve not touched all the extras that the Kickstarter came with!

Not going to lie… this is so good it’s making me want to cull Black Plague…
I’m selling off my green horde and keeping UoA. Wasn’t expecting that to be the case.

I hope you love it!! It’s my favorite version so far.
just one question about gunslinger /fanning.

They can fan them, but it’s not a necessity!
So.. now that there is this one.. and Black Plague... and Marvel Zombies... which do you prefer? Thanks for the play through.
Pretty sure Hanna was the MVP here... now I need Undead or Alive since I haven't found another character with my name in any Zombicide

Thanks for watching! ❤️ I agree, it’s been such a hit for me and it’s just cool.
As a first Zombicide game, you are definitely in at the deep end?!
Getting my pledge tomorrow!
AWESOME! I hope you enjoy it as much as I am!
Nice !
what is the music you are using for the video?
We use music from epidemic sound, and have a liscense with them! :)

Do you reccomend grab a copy of Green Horde if I can, or it isn't a must-have..?
Fun! Thanks
If you pass a red spawn not active then on same spawn draw the abomination then you do NOT spawn the newly active one
I think the vade retro you played it a bit freely and to your benefit other than that I like the video

Would love to see a Fallout New Vegas version of Zombicide.
Shut up and take my money! Haha No but seriously, that sounds awesome
