  • The McCarty 594 Hollowbody II brings a new set of features to one of our most beloved models - the Hollowbody II. With fully-hollow build construction, the Hollowbody II is a resonant guitar with warm, woody tone. 58/15 LT pickups ensure that these guitars are clear and musical, and dual volume and push-pull tone controls offer plenty of versatility. The details taken from the McCarty 594 model impart old-school character to this already classic instrument. Those details include a 24.594” scale length, two-piece bridge, and Pattern Vintage neck shape. The McCarty 594 Hollowbody II is a true showstopper with effortless playability, articulate vintage tone, and a jaw-dropping aesthetic.

Thanks a MILLION to Bryan for all the great demo's . This vid helped me get the guitar of my dreams , the 594 HB ii is a lightweight Masterpiece. The tone pallete is delicious and versatile, the coil taps really do make it sound almost like an acoustic , better than my Heritage archtop! It can take WAY more gain than you could imagine. Thanks to Paul and all the crew!

    I'm borrowing a friend's McCarty from the 90s
Its a gold top that has a 3 way toggle switch, a tone knob and a volume
    I love it!
Part of its is the simplicity
I personally own a 2016 Gibson lp traditional
It's has the same split coils
With an two added push pulls for a bridge blow switch and a out of phase thing
But I don't use those features
I was just comparing the two and they don't seem that far off each other..........
    So nothings really new
Got to say they are beautiful and it does have the hollow body thing going on

  • @NAPT0WNNUISANCE

4500 on Reverb for one. Not that expensive if you put money down on it and make payments. If you really want you can stretch the payments out.
People say they are too much but once you get it and start paying payments. You'll never look back. My PRS was 3k scratch and dent. I paid 60 a week out of my paycheck after I took a small loan out of my 401k.
    Never regretted it.

    I have two questions:
    - Is a hollow body guitar proper for a Metal guitarist?
    - I have "discovered" PRS guitars in Greece that are far too cheap (about 500€). Are these guitars original PRS guitars?

    • @gabrielofficial8275
      @gabrielofficial8275 5 лет назад

Brother.. There is no right or wrong guitar when playing music. Any guitar works for any genre (some better than others) Metal can be played on any type of guitar, it all depends on the way you use it and what tone you're looking for. This particular PRS is a hollow body so you can expect more feed back when using more gain compared to let's say a solid body guitar. However, did you hear that sound? I can bet you'd sound unreal! Also the cheaper PRS's you're seeing are probably the PRS SE models which is their Korean made guitars. Similar comparisons would be Epiphone to Gibson or Squier to Fender. Still the same company but not the real deal in terms of quality! Ciao.

Only criticism is aesthetic, I don’t think the bridge tailpiece is very attractive. The guitars that have it have all those beautiful in proportion curves and arches, but have a rectangular tailpiece with sharp angles, and aesthetically the other bridges you make are more complimentary to the look. But that’s the only thing I can say, and I actually don’t really keep paying attention because it just shines in every respect. And sounds just fantastic!

This was a comment I made based on my experience using hollowbody guitars live. And I certainly may be wrong in my assumption as there are many other factors at play.
