hay bud, little tip for removing frozen screws. put a fillips bit on a soldering iron, hold it in place for a few seconds and heat the screw really hot then use a regular screwdriver to remove it. similar to what you did with lower risk.

This is one of the best looking cars from wltoys and it demands a brushless conversion but with the original tires.Excited to see your video but wish you'd take it to the rough terrain. It could be an interesting rift like rock bouncer. The price however can be high for this conversion... Maybe if they wltoys do it.
these remind me of a 2 seater fireteam .this always seemed a bit slower than the 428 replacing the lower front suspension damper links with extra internal spring dampers(thoose cheap blue ones like use on wpl ,works well on front suspension and i think looks cool (the main thing)
I have both 12428 and 12429, the 12429 is indeed a lot slower than the old 12428. My son and me drag race them, all stock ESC and motor. I think the ESC set up is different.
the receiver of wltoys looks like a 4 ch receiver but it is a 2 ch receiver the other 2 ch are reverse because there are no reverse switches on the transmitter they have it made so that if you put the servo or the esc in another ch it goes backwards
Nice one mate, I took my 124016 and paint It the body panels white and fitted some tires and wheels around the same size as the ones in the 12428 with some white paint on the words of the tires, I took the rear wing off AND fitted some rear and front bumpers out of a 144001, It looks kinda like a bastard child from a fireteam 🤣🤣🤣 but I like It 😁

If I recall correctly, with the 'reverse' issue on the WLTOYS receiver, you use the other pair of pins on the receiver, so instead of CH1 and CH2, use CH3 or HC4

I wish they made 1/8th scale truggy specific hoons to fit the kraton 6s the Team corally line up and also the fireteam The only options out there is the sweep racing road crushers and the jetko tyres which I don't mind but we need more options in the hobby But I like the look of the build The hobao caged buggy or truggy street build would be awesome
Chuck a sensored system in there and I bet that would crawl well, tyres obviously. But the ground clearance is good the articulation is good might be a tiny bit top heavy but I reckon it'd do well.
i neaerly did a brushless one of these a couple of years back but did not in end, thought if i wait long enough you will do it might have a driver figure that would fit well little solder type 4" tall
I think this car in it stock form is great for its price - imagine if they put better brushed combo in it - then the price should go up OR they will try to go "cheaper" it other parts and places (it would be way more sad, I think🤭).
Fun looking buggy to drive from the looks of things. I like the mix of independent front suspension and then the solid axle at the back. Would be great fun with the stock tyres just bashing about in some woods and over some rocks I imagine! Looks a bit of a pain to work on with all those screws and plastic mind.
Buy this model and after using it 3 times began to fail (we didn't force it or use it more than with a battery charge at time) The symptom was that the car only started after pushing it, after having reviewed everything that could be I concluded that it was an engine field, disassembled it and welded the coils again and solved!... PS: I already bought the brushless motor upgrade kit, waiting for it to arrive from China (in 1 month) 😉
I had a Fayee that looked like that chassis design. 1/12 scale. Very very slow. Broke in less than 10 minutes of use. I've since used the suspension and transmission on different custom builds. What you have done here looks amazing.
Great video! My favorite part of this hobby is the building. Taking an old model and re imagining it and just rebuilding it is the most fun of all. Easily one of my favorite channels. Great work!

This car ist good looking but its junk. Its a pain two change parts, its driving horrible, the screws are made of chewinggums, the electronic lasts for two drives, espacially the servo ist way to weak and the diffs are cracking if you're putting a stronger Motor in it. Yeah awesome buggy bro, i got one of these a week ago and its so good that im getting a 2nd one end of this month,im in South Africa and i cant seem to find a full 12 scale driver to put in it online lol, but i think on the 2nd one ill put wider wheels on and upgrade the shocks and ajustible steering rods on both, but the brushed motors will remain, brushless is too fast because i want to crawl with them also and only in and around my yard and i hate crashing and rolling them so not too much speed for me thanks, i treat them like i treat my real car 😜, btw i enjoy ur rc videos thanks bro, peace from South Africa ✌
This is funny because I had paddles on my rockbouncer & took them off & put 17mm gti street tires on it lol I got the adapters & just wanted to see if they fit ok as I’m writing this you just said paddles on this haha I couldn’t keep the front end on the ground on the beach but they are great for backflips lol

You can easily swap forward/reverse on that wl reciever by using the other connections. Same for steering
😂 yeah, I figured that one out after tearing apart my transmitter, and manually swapping the wires...

12429 is just a tad bigger than 28. The cv shafts don’t fit and a arms are bigger. It’s hard to find cv s for it.

How were you able to put hoons 17mm on a Wltoys 12mm. You never showed that part.
The wltoys receiver is a two channel receiver. The other two ports are channel 1 and channel 2 too - but reverse
Will those 12 to 17 wheel adapters fit on a wltoys 12416 .They dont say what the thread size is.
