went to Madikwe a couple of years ago we styed at Motswiri lodge for three nights then drove to Etali for a further three nights had a great time drove from Johannesburg and stopped of on the way at Hartbespoort can reccomend we had a great time
I just did a double take when I saw the thumbnail and realized that the video was hosted by Karolina! Wonderful, I love all of your incredible shots on instagram and beautiful videos on your own yt channel! I knew that you had been working with Pangolin but didn't realize that you would also start hosting videos for their channel. Great job!
wow what a wonderful video. we have been to Madikwe last year and will go this year again. We stay at Mosetlha Bush Camp. Very close to nature, no luxury just basic wild nature.
I have been impressed with Karelian videos and look forward to a safari with her as guide. Pangolin has done well I think to contract this talented young photographer.
I have been there twice booked through Pangolin. Great place!!! Ask for Bianca as your driver. she's the best. The tunnel to the hide can be a little claustrophobic but worth it. Went from there to Timbavati and Tanda Tula (Thanks Sam, for the suggestion). Will see you all in February (can't wait) in Kenya. Staying up north this time around adding Lewa and Shompole to the epic Kenya trip. Pangolin is the BEST!!
Loved my time in Madikwe in August last year. I saw the same Cheetah with her cubs...wow they've grown so much already. Was that Bianca in the background driving you around? She was an amazing guide when I was there.
It was great seeing this, we so enjoyed our time at Jaci’s Tree Lodge and our guide Simon and the wonderful people at the lodge made our trip so special and memorable. Simon was a great guide who found us so many animals and showed us the stars too. I also enjoyed how the park limits the number of cars and time on a sighting as opposed to how things are in the Maasa Mara where there can be 30 or more cars around a tree with a leopard in it. Our trip was booked with Pangolin who put together a great trip for us, we met the best photo hosts and guides. I learned so much from them. The trip was to have been a once in a lifetime experience but we loved it so much we are currently working with Pangolin to book our next trip in 2026!
Wonderful place and, in addition, pangolins have the most beautiful girl to capture us all in those incredible safaris in Africa. Without a doubt I dream of being in that charming place someday.
If the rumor is true that Sony is working on a 400 with a built in TC would you want to get that vs the 300 you love so much? I'm having a hard time convincing myself the 300 would be enough to make me happy with it's reach.
Thanks! I personally have a A7Rv as my main wildlife body. But during this video I was also using a A7iv and A7cii since we were also shooting for Sony 😊
Hay 💐, If you have good tools then you can achieve your goal, but the most important thing is "concentration'', I liked your exploration and the views from the view were perfect, a subscription from me +🔔, keep it up 🎬, I wish you all the best 💚✅♻️🌳😉
Have you been to Madikwe? If not will you be adding it to your list now? Please share.
I saw 32 Caracal over i year in Addo National Park
Maybe a silly question but was this trip recent or from a while ago? It looks fantastic!

Yes Bianca was our guide, she’s fantastic!
Great to hear you saw the cubs too, they were one of my favorite sightings 😊
She is a great mum!

Great video. The Caracal is keeping a healthy distance from what looks like a Mozambique spitting cobra (not 100% sure) at 03:14
Thanks! Yes that’s correct, it was a very cool interaction 😊
Quite an extraordinary moment!
Great video! When is the best time to visit?
Madikwe is great all year round. Watch out for the mornings in winter though…can be rather cold.

Nice video. What cameras were you using? Thanks
