I grew up just outside DC in Maryland and 40 yrs ago our church did a trip to King's Dominion. Two busses full. 4 kids to every chaperone. My Dad was our adult and he kept up well with four 6th grade girls, but when we were leaving he said if he never rode a roller coaster again it would be too soon. When we got home he told my Mom that girls are hard work. Ha. 😊

My brother and cousins used to go to Kings Dominion and we always had a ball. Although going there confirmed that I hate roller coasters. My first ride was in the very first car and my 2nd ride was in the very last car. Yeah, nope. I'm a chicken! But this looks like so much fun and it was so wonderful to see the park again! It looked like you all had a blast. I am not a big ride fan as I have gotten older but the swings are still my favorite. We have visited Kings Dominion several times over the years with our family and we have always had a great time. the rapid river has always been our favorite family ride.
The dad jokes are always the best memories. I love theme parks. We are always at Knotts over here. But I stay away from yhe spinning rides. That gets me so dizzy and nauseated 🤢 Thanks Amiga for taking us along. Felt like I was there 🙃
Nice day like you said crowds down, which is good. Looks like a lot of fun. I couldn't ride those rides either eating or not. But know the kids loved it.
We are big Disney fans and I buy sea bands to prevent nausea. They work perfectly. They are little pressure point wrist bracelets and are very inexpensive. I have terrible motion sickness and never a problem even with turbulence on airplanes when I wear my Sea Bands.
looks like so much fun! we are from missouri and when my kids were younger we would take them to worlds of fun and silver dollar city! so much fun! but....as you get older the rides are not so much fun they are definitely for the younger generation! thanks for sharing! xoxo

Hi Arika. The Boo Blaster ride looked seriously fun. Lol. We used to purposely plan trips to Carowinds on days rain was predicted because of the whole less crowds. It was great. No lines. I would love to have a store like the one you went to!! Nice stuff. I don't know how these people come up with all the crazy rides and actually makes them work. Glad you all had a fun trip. Great getaway! It’s always such a wonderful time to be able to get away with family. We try and do it as much as we can with our children and grandchildren. We live about 45 minutes from Dollywood, you all should do a family trip there sometime, you would love it!
At my age I take a Bonine the night before and the morning of to avoid motion sickness so I can still enjoy most of the rides, unlike Dramamine they don't make you sleepy.
I haven't been to Kings Dominion for a long time. Busch Gardens is closer to us so that's usually where we go, but this makes me want to go again. So fun!

How fun!! You guys are a brave bunch! I can’t do the rides anymore, except the water rides. Kings Dominion looks like a really nice amusement park. The closest to us are Busch Gardens and Islands of Adventure. I don’t think I would even attempt Disney anymore. It’s WAY too crowded and expensive (even for FL residents). I get some great deals at Beall’s Outlet…especially around the holidays. The Home Centric store is new to my area. It’s great you were all able to get away and have a fun relaxing weekend. Hey Arika, For 30 plus years my husband and I would take our youth group to King's Island in Ohio. The two parks are very similar. You're right about the rides being for kids.😂 Looks like you had a time despite the rain. Always look forward to your next video. ❤

I'm envying the rain and cooler temperatures! Here in the UK we are NOT equipped to deal with high heat, and it's currently 38 degrees centigrade, which I think is around 100 degrees f.
