    Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Like so many others, my lifestyle changed due to the pandemic.
    Before the pandemic, my families lives had become so hectic & busy that there never seemed to be a good time to travel anymore. Somewhere along the line we realized that our last vacation was in 2011. We decided that it was time we made some travel plans.
    Then the pandemic hit! I no longer wanted to travel by plane or stay in a hotel. We decided that a bettter and safer alternative would be to travel in our own vehicle, one that we could also sleep in, cook our own meals in, vacation in. The rest is history!
    However, the RV shopping process is not easy and required a lot of research. I want to share what I have learned along with my ongoing experiences and adventures through my channel which offers:
    RV tours / walkthroughs
    Camping destinations
    Hiking
    RV modifications & DIYs
    RV Cooking
    And much more…..
    So I invite you to come along with me on this ongoing RV journey.

    This trailer is a great little camper with a great design, I have seen RVs who will not stand up to this little camper and I give it a coziness factor 10 / 10 😀

    Not much has changed from my 2019. Couple nice things, especially the window above the sink. The old one with blinds that I have sucks! New bed reading lights are sweet. Storage slider doors might be better than old roll ups. Best of all that dress is classy 🔥

    So Ryker Mom, Question what is the difference between Black and Grey tanks?
    Not being a RV'r its something that has always puzzled me, so over to you to explain.
    Nice wee set up you showed there and easily towable into the woods for privacy, close to a loch where I can go fishing and swimming.

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 года назад +1

      The grey tank is anything that does not come from the toilet (example sinks & showers) the black tank is just toilet waste/water. Some RVs are not carrying cassette toilets which eliminates the black tank for a cassette. Thanks for Watching!

    Are you pulling your airstream with that Santa Cruz? If so...awesome! I have a Santa Cruz and I saw this on the road and wondered if I could pull this. Let me know. Thanks!

      I do not own the Airstream Caravel however the 2.5L turbo SEL is capable of towing 5000lbs. Thanks for Watching!

    Is this comparable to a Nucamp Tab 400 which is 20k-25k cheaper?

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 года назад +1

      Wow, you have asked a very tough question. I really like both as they both have been well thought-out and they each have a different interior and exterior style. Both are built with quality materials but the Airstream is probably built with higher end materials Thanks for Watching!

    • @monicae67
      @monicae67 Год назад

      The layout is very different. I was also looking at the nuCamp 400 but the design changes with the new bunk beds that are not practical or functional and the lack of privacy made this the winner for me! I imagined having to get dressed in a wet bath and having a stove so close to the bed turned me off.

      @@ssjdarren I would reach out to Airstream for an explanation, seems like an important question as that makes a big difference when towing this with a vehicle that has a 5,000lb rating.

    What makes it a deal breaker for me is the exterior 8 feet width, I can storage only a 7 feet :(, the 16 trailers should be no bigger than that!

      Hello Daniel, I really like the Airstream trailers as their quality is probably the best in the business but you may want to consider the NuCamp tabs as well as they may fit your needs. Thanks for Watching!

    Leave it to Airstream to come up with such design choices as: 1.) no opening windows in the kitchen and bathroom, 2.) sliding curtain doesn't just block off the sleeping area but includes the bathroom for some reason, and worst of all, 3.) NO SINK in the bathroom!!! Incredible that they expect people to open the door and go to the kitchen to wash their hands after using the bathroom. That's really a deal breaker in any normal person with normal hygiene habits. Great video!

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 года назад +1

      It does seem nicely built but I agree that there are some design choices that would not work for me. Thanks for Watching!

      I agree with your points except for the privacy curtain. I actually think it was perfectly placed and makes lots of sense. You can close it off when you’re showering, get to the wardrobe and get dressed in the bedroom area in private, whereas no other camper even offers privacy. When you’re up and ready to start your day, you just tuck it away.

You can close it off when you’re showering, get to the wardrobe and get dressed in the bedroom area in private, whereas no other camper even offers privacy. When you’re up and ready to start your day, you just tuck it away. Unfortunately there’re a lot of campers that didn’t install a basin or sink in the wet bath. I don’t understand that either but honestly, I just LOVE the layout and floor plan of this camper. The rear bed and privacy curtain is what is making me decide on this camper. I just hope they don’t change that feature. I was looking at the inTech Sol Horizon and that layout has the kitchen sink right by the bed and still NO sink in the wet bath. 🤦‍♀️

    • @IMP3TIGO
      @IMP3TIGO Год назад

      @@monicae67 true the curtain is okay in that way. I do wish the 16 would become a 17 by adding I think 2" to the main bed and 10" to the dinnette bed because then they would be the same width and at least the dinnette bed would actually fit two people.

    • @monicae67
      @monicae67 Год назад

      @@IMP3TIGO I agree! Even just a little bigger would’ve definitely made a huge difference. The Horizon is definitely more roomier so it was a tough decision but the kitchen sink though beautiful is right up against the bed and no bathroom sink either. 🤦‍♀️ I imagined with the Horizon having to get dressed in a wet bath. Ultimately that sense of separation and privacy with the curtain and the rear bed made this a winner for me. Let us not forget the beautiful windows in the front and rear. I can imagine lying in that bed on a stormy night and having the rain hitting against the windows and watching the lightning (I’m already falling asleep with the thought of it! 😂) or just gazing at the stars had me sold!! That can’t be beat! There is just a feeling that I get with this one that I don’t get with the others even if it is smaller.
