Wanna know something ironic? Marcus & Martinus is a NORWEGIAN music duo. Norway basically had two entries in 2024... Which is especially funny considering the love-hate relationship between Norway and Sweden. I'm sure many Swedes would want to brush this fact under the rug!
Yeah, this song is incredibly generic sounding! Marcus & Martinus are known for being quite generic, and the lyrics are SUPER bland, but I also blame the Swedish producers on the production side of thing, because the "beat" isn't exactly amazing either. Not surprised this didn't do well.
It was in the top 10 … if you don’t consider that doing well then I don’t know anything about Eurovision. Being a host and coming top 10 is huge. The song is good, not for Eurovision but for radios it’s amazing Just look at the numbers 😊 The song has done better than most of the “Eurovision” songs and why ? We’ll because it’s pop It’s a generic song yes we agree on that but generic songs do amazing on radio’s and Spotify You can win Eurovision and not be successful but these guys came 9th (out of 38) and are doing better than the winner
Someone indicated to me that M&M have been working in Sweden for quite some time, so it's not a shock to have them compete in that music scene.
They are under the label universal music Sweden, their management and or agency it’s also from Sweden so yeah it makes sense
