I am currently working on activly experiencing my emotions (started with my therapist and am step by step learning to do this on my own). It is a task that has to be learnt and I personally missed that oportunity earlier in my life. It is very important for me at the very moment due to some serious issues in my relationship and videos like yours are a very welcome guidence on my journey to explore my emotions. Special thanks for adressing comfortable AND uncormfortable emotions. They both tell us a lot about ourselves and even though everyone probably strives to have as many comfortable feelings as possible, ignoring the uncomfortable ones will only keep you from learning about things that actually strengthen and guide you. Being open to these lessons can be hard but is also really important, so, again, thank you for this little reminder ❤
This video came to me at just the right time. THANK YOU so much! It is not easy talking and dealing with the hard emotions like anger and shame. But it IS absolutely essential to express and deal with ALL of our emotions. If we don't, they stay trapped in our bodies and psyche until we face them. I can't thank you enough for this video. Definitely going to practicing this and I LOVE the poem!!
It is really difficult, it’s so tempting to just ignore them and hope they’ll go away. The trouble is that only works for some, and others will linger until you acknowledge them! 😬
I really appreciate the information you provided in this video. I will definitely be looking through this journaling approach more and may be using it in mine. 💜
