At a young age of 11 I has mantra diksha from a realized swamiji. I did not know much but I could feel enormous energy flowing into me . I was completely aware of my self, not the body just pur self. The self took me on a wonderful tour at lightness speed in the universe. I could only feel my self and hear the voice of my guru repeating the mantra and me repeating after him. After some time he brought me down to the material world. For hours afterwards my mind was withdrawn and peaceful.

what is meditation? what is concentration? When you keep your mind focused on a particular idol or deity, it is called concentration.

No words for this video Anna. I got this video as a suggestion on RUclips. Death and Samadhi should be spoken on frequent occasions. I will surely want to experience Samadhi but time has to tell. I suggest you to make a video more in detail about types of Samadhi.

I have heard another explanation for the origin of the word samadhi. Samam (means equal) + aadhi (means the original/eternal being), i.e., becoming equal to the eternal being.

Tamil Siddhas are abound in Tamil Nadu.This is a blessed land,where even now you find Siddhas roaming the villages incognito.There is a distinct difference between 'Jiva Samadhi' where the sage is interned in a cave or underground which is then sealed.It is important to note that sages who choose to remain in the body even after enlightenment are those that constitute the 'Jiva Samadhi' group Many a time a Hanuman deity is above, indicates the place of a JivaSamadhi.This Hanuman Idol is opposite the main consecrated deity in a temple.A case in point is the Temple at Tirupati where exists the Samadhi of Konkannar Maharishi.Another place which is powerfully energetic with divinity is the temple at Alandi where exists the Samadhi of Sant Gyaneshwar.Gyaneshwar Maharaj,it is said went into Samadhi in blazing radiance a cave which was sealed. The temple is above his Samadhi.Yet another Jiva Samadhi is that of Bhogar Maharishi at Palani.It is important to note that Jiva Samadhis areas are resounding with divinity.However one has to rise to a level of 'refined breathing' in tandem with the sage in meditation to make contact.In anyway even a layman will benefit from the mere environment.

Born in this culture from very young age everyone uses the term Samadhi. Yet no one explains or goes into much detail. We just bow down and imbibe the energy of what once was. I felt certain calmness listening to both Prem Anna and Kishen Anna.
I have never been to these beautiful places yet I felt I’m there or they with me.
Yes we need to do our part and make sure we leave some written history for future generations, keep these places clean...and keep going there to spend some time in these serene temples.

like Ramkrishna paramhans has told be in state of self realization and you will attain samadhi.
