Thank you for the lovely comment. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I hope the video quality was okay as I'd left the camera at the wrong exposure the entire day.

Yes, I always bypass cows unless I have absolutely no choice and if I saw a bull in a field, no way would I go in there. Loved the field of sunflowers, never seen one like that before and you seemed to bump into quite a few horses on the way. In the summer the North York Moors are covered with heather, which I love to see as well. Looked a good day for you and the dogs, as they seemed to enjoy it as well, cheers Alan

If the cows are away from the gate, even with a bull in the field, and away from the route I need to take then I am fine (had an interesting encounter on the Cleveland Way which you'll get to see in January). I'm more worried about mommas with young calves than I am with bulls generally...but then I've worked with cattle 20 years and the British ones are a whole lot worse to deal with than in the US.
Thanks for watching and the feedback :-)

Well that was a nice and relaxing walk to watch! I'm not familiar with any walks south of Edenbridge, more familiar with walks around Westerham and the North Downs in general.

Thank you; glad you enjoyed it. It definitely is a pretty area to walk and explore...despite the cows :-)

Absolutely fantastic video thanks for sharing you've inspired me to check this out. I'd never heard of the Vanguard Way until your video which is somewhat embarrassing given I spent my first 25yrs of my life living not far from the East Croydon start line in the town of Carshalton Surrey. Like I say, fantastic video and thanks for sharing. Big thumbs up from me. ATB Dave 😊👍 aka wackyswanderings 👍

Thank you for such a lovely comment. I am really glad to hear this video inspired you to go check it out. I've discovered several long trails in the SE and I'm surprised they are almost unknown...so of course I will go hike them and bring light to them :-)

Enjoyed catching up with day 2. I didnt think the camera exposure settings affected the video too much at all. I’ve just got a new camera and will probably have similar issues as I’ve no idea how to use it yet!

Thanks for the feedback. I did have to work on the color grading and exposure on this video for almost everything clip. I'm glad the effort paid off. I usually leave everything on auto but had been doing some photos and forgot to put the settings back to auto afterwards.

It's worked out you taking an extra bit of time to do the trail. I would call that, 'compassionate hiking.' I mean you don't have to smash out the miles and miss all them bug homes and the play your dogs engaged in. Now that is true you would only be twiddling your thumbs ay home or even crawling up the walls and creating no memories at all. Well, besides the signage it was another good stretch. All the best. Mark

Thanks Mark. It really did work out nicely to spread it out over an extra day. I've never been a big one for "smashing miles" (great term) as I like to enjoy it...both the hike and spending time with the dogs

@@WilderhopeAdventures A pleasure. Good to hear it worked out. The walk had a good spirit to it. Yeah, that's what they call it 'smashing out the miles.' It's not for everyone that. Peace!

Can I ask what camera you’re use to film your adventures on? I’m on part 2 here & although it’s early December I’m feeling very inspired to give this ago soon. Many thanks Andy

I used a Sony HX90 with homemade mini-muff over the speakers to help with wind noise to film all my videos. I have occasionally used my Samsung S9 for slow motion shots but those aren't in this years videos. Recently bought a DJI Action which I am liking and will be used more as I get out more come spring
