Language learning channels on RUclips nowadays mostly advocate what is called *comprehensible input* - listening/watching, reading, understanding - as the best means of language acquisition and that is exactly what Linguaphone was doing all those years ago. I've fond memories of my *Corso d'italiano* which used cassette tapes back in the 1980s and which enabled me to converse in Italian on my trip to Italy.
Thanks for sharing this😀 Magnus translated the first Penguin Classics editions of the sagas that I read in the 70's, which led me to pay off the very expensive Linguaphone Icelandic course. Many years later I am back at it and am finally really getting somewhere
Thank you for Linguaphone. French, German, Russian, Arabic and Hebrew. In many years ago Central, Hongkong has the small shop at World wide Building. The sale ladies were very good.
