I will say this I suffer with complex ptsd from childhood trauma I was an addict of ten years from pills. Smoking weed helps calm my overthinking and me being hard on myself and my anxiety. It’s helps relax as I am always tensed all the time.I do doses and don’t get high. I also take breaks when I need to. It helps me focus and not be all over the place. I talk to God all the time even when I do my dose. I pray I read the word and I still feel close to God.
Im with you battle i suffer from ptsd as a veteran and i smoke marijuana im just now starting my journey as a cristian who was once a radical pentacostal…
This is a gift from god but just like everything else it can be used outside of god as well I will pray and study during a gods green herb session and give him thanks just don’t put it above the lord your relationship with him is far superior to anything marijuana can provide you and after some time you can smoke weed and not get high so there’s that also the lord cares about our hearts mind and soul he does not care about your lungs
Exactly, they keep comparing it to alcohol, alcohol is an evil drug, weed is WAY different. It's like comparing donuts to a steak. Weed enlightens you and opens your creative mind, it doesn't "mess you up", these dudes sound like Karen's. Also he mentions all the mental health disorders over the last 10 years since they legalized it as if weed has any correlation? That's like saying people who eat fish on islands are more likely to get attacked by sharks, and blame eating fish on shark attacks.
I started too to help with yes ptsd not from war but assist trauma the stuff otc I was on was messing with my health weight gain an igh BP the flower gas helped me so much
Thank you guys for sharing this. God has been working on my addictions one at a time for years, and the Spirit has recently convicted me on smoking weed (my last addiction). I’ve been fighting the urge to smoke & have been successful for the majority of 2 months but to be honest I’ve tried and tried to justify myself, including trying to get the opinion of other people to make me feel better about doing it, but the truth is it’s not good for me & God through Christ has called me to something much better. It’s easy to convince yourself you’re doing it for the right reasons but deep down you know it’s not right. Thank you for telling the truth with scripture when so many people who call themselves Christians are just trying to convince themselves & everybody else to follow their own deceitful hearts. God bless you all
You really think are loving CREATOR is going to punish you for that why would he create it and put it here and then not put any law in his word about not eating it or consuming it he told us what animals we could eat and what animals not to eat but did not say anything about it being aginst his law about plants and like he wouldn't have known we would be using this plant and if it was unclean he would have told us that its unclean but its a plant created by him that he says nothing about it like that
Alcohol literally means BODY EATING SPIRIT. And if you know about microbiomes you'd know eating food can effect the way you think . Alcohol destroys lives. Anyone who would promote alcohol over cannabis is speaking from personal views and ego.
Very nice presentation. I think people's judgement is clouded on issues like this simply because I'm not harming anyone else, it's just small amounts etc. The federal law still supercedes AZ law. Example...I'm a commercial truck driver. I go thru random drug tests all the time. If components of pot or any other substance is found in my system, it's quite possible I could lose my CDL. This includes alcohol. You don't want a truck driver high rolling down the road with 80 thousand pounds behind him not able to fully react to the highway environment. I see way too many "impairment" issues every day. I need to be on my game to be able to take control of my environment. Well done, gentlemen
I think you're reasoning is spot on. (for professional truckers) but I don't see how certain activities have anything whatsoever to do with the topic. The topic is. is it a SIN in the eyes of God to use cannabis even medically. The subject is not "is it safe under common circumstances to use it recreationally. and then there's a second topic here which usually exists but is never clarified and that is, is there some type of sin to breaking man's law. but you're talking safety and they're talking spirituality so the topics are vastly more different an unrelated than apples and oranges are to each other. This is why cannabis stigma still exist and why doctors are having trouble getting medication to their patients. Every time the topic comes up somebody changes the subject to why we should be scared to try run without a deepening on-growing education on the subject. I appreciate your respect for traffic and yes, you are exactly who I want driving on the road near me. But the question was, Do you think it is a sin for me to use medical cannabis just as I would use any of the other medications that it replaces or that my doctors prescribe. Consider prescribed medications that would not be acceptable for a CDL driver to use. Are many medications out there that are prescribed that are federally illegal to drive on that simply have a label that says learn how this medication affects you before you drive. So for you we have 2 subjects, 1 simply in your mind consider the reality of the other medications that other drivers ARE using. And 2, is all cannabis use, a sin?
That glass of wine will absolutely impair your judgement, even 1 glass. This is a bad take, you can’t compare the 2 like that. You are surrounded by people working, playing, all while being “high” and you can’t even tell. I’d like to hear from someone who actually uses cannabis in a healthy way talk about this, it’s always some dude that has never had much experience with it.
I know the Bible inside and outside. These people reject what the Bible says to promote their own RELIGION!! BEHOLD, THE NEW "PHARISEES"! Who refuse to accept the Truth that Jesus Died to restore!
I agree with you 100% on Marijuana controlling you, from my own experience you believe you can control it but eventually it controls you. It absolutely makes you paranoid and anxious. In my opinion alcohol is worse and 1 drink may not make you drunk but it does give you a buzz or high, which is no different than taking a 1 draw from a joint. I agree a Christian shouldn't use either one.
Cannabis doesn't control people like other drugs. I think the manner in which someone uses cannabis depends on the individual. Cannabis is so much more than THC, there are hundreds of other cannabinoids that don't get you high. I just don't understand why cannabis is demonized the way it is. Alcohol is much, much worse and has no medical benefit.
When I was in highschool I was almost failing at. 55% Average . After I started smoking week my ADHD tuned down enough for my thoughts to slow down and I was able to concentrate for the first time. And my average went above 80%...I stopped having panic attacks five times a day to 5 times a month....I think for some it could be bad but you need to look up all the health benefits aswell. The THC cures many ailments including intence forms of autism and seizures, helps anxiety disorder ( certain strands ) helps with Cancer, glacolma and much more. This is very confusing to me ..when I smoke my family even tells me they can't tell the difference and I still am of sound mind and thought and still read my Bible....I do wonder though if the holy spirit is trying to tell me I won't need it soon because he is all I need. Plus why would God put something on this planet that is inpossoble to overdose from, and can heal almost all ailments...and have both male and female plants. Sober is to be of sound mind and thought . You can be of sound mind amd thought after smoking... It has nothing to do with substance. I'm sure the Holy spirit will make it clear for me soon...this has been bothering me for a little while now.
When I get under panic attacks i make bad decisions, but thc centers me and I can think and act sober. thc makes me slow down my overactive adhd and concentrate in school. I also was tutored by the highschool valedictorian who was a stoner with 3.9 GPA heading straight to harvard. figure that.
I think people who have never smoked weed dont have the ability to speak truly about how it effects your mind i am a marijuana smoker i have been for several years, ive smoked some of the strongest strains you can get in the dispensary and have never been to a point where i was incapable of decision making marijuana effects you FAR differently than alcohol and as for my faith I strive to continue for daily growth Jesus loves you whether you smoke weed or not Jesus died for your sins💙
Hi, I am a pastor and would like to condemn a medicinal plant. Excuse me while I vaccinate my Child and feed them GMO food. 20 years later..... Child says "only cannabis helps with my autoimmune disorder, I wonder how I got an autoimmune disorder?"
there is a huge difference between healthy recreational use, and abuse of it, just like the difference between someone who occasionally has one beer with friends, vs a raging alcoholic. Christianity is not about making a bunch of rules "do this, don't do that." And yes, there are numerous miraculous medical uses as well. In the Bible we see wine for both recreation as well as medicine, and no one has ever presented an honest argument that would exclude marijuana from this same usage.
I have to disagree with the pastor when he says that you cant smoke you can't smoke marijuana and not get high. That is inaccurate, as with any substance your tolerance can build over time; moreover, their os a correlation between the level/rate of absorption and a persons BMI.
Ok completely on the fence about this I smoke about .15 of a gram and drink 1 beer when i walk my dog and 1 beer when i get home. I take breaks i do not put weed or beer above the Lord my God. I try not to even smoke or drink from mon-thur it helps me wind down after a long day of work and relax. Is that so wrong ? If someone drinks coffe to get the little buzz back to back from drink multiple cups is that not the same? Maybe i am seeking relief outside of Christ and i will meditate on that but in moderation is it still a sin? If Jesus made wine for an entire wedding party surely he didn't mind if people drank some right? I dont know i dont want to be of the world i also dont want to be a christian solely out of fear of hell sorry im ranting i dont even know what im trying ro say anymore I hate this 😔
legit questions to ask im lost on it too. Like if smoking is a sin then mcdonalds and coffee would have to be too. Coffee can create a buzz and mcdonald's is horrible for your health
@@Lukefromdaridge EXACTLY but I mean even Jesus drank wine and even God himself one time ordered the Israelites to use some of their tithe money to by wine to celebrate something sooo 🤷🏾♂️
@@SilencerXLR8 Yes, although I don't think he ever got drunk. So In my opinion I think it is more personal and circumstantial. If you smoke and then a couple hours later you keep doing it then I would question if it has a hold in your life. But for medical purposes or even a little high in my opinion is no big deal. I will say I am going to try to stop because I noticed that if I smoke once that day then chances are I'll be smoking later once the high comes down so I don't know if that is what I should be doing. Regardless it doesn't hurt to try quit if its holding you back. Although weed is not the end all be all. Going back to my first comment if you are eating junk food or drinking caffeine then you would almost be hypocritical to do those and to harp on not smoking. Ice cream is a good dessert to enjoy but if your eating it everyday then thats gluttony, and probably not doing you any good. So I guess (and I really don't know) but my conclusion is it is getting a hold of your life or is it something that helps you to unwind and relax? It's all circumstantial and one person may be able to handle a certain food or substance and another person may be stumbled by it and better off to avoid it. Kinda what they were saying a glass of wine is not bad, id also say a few hits is not bad either (although depends on the person)
Who says it causes anxiety and how did they come to that conclusion? Could it be related to it not being legal. It is not legal federally. I would like to see a reference to the so called research and how specifically they came to their conclusions.
I have a good Christian friend who has had a sleeping problem for about 30+yrs. They use pot to sleep. They only use when in bed for sleep at night only. Does not necessarily like it but it works. They are using only for a natural medication. I have not discussed this Bibical with them. Yet.
Ya this is wild, most Christian’s wouldn’t second guess a sleeping pill that destroys you in terms of “sober minded” and are very addictive. A plant? Or a harmful chemical? Or you don’t sleep? You really think there is a question on which one God would prefer? I have no idea but I know what I think
I am a Christian. I use medical cannabis. I don't like being "stoned", and have prayed about it.. I quit drinking, but haven't had the conviction to quit cannabis.
If I did quit, I wouldn’t be sleeping, and my back pain is pretty much unbearable, the alternatives are much darker than hitting my little pen at 10 pm a few times and passing out.
It was mentioned in the podcast about Jesus turning down the vinegar (wine) on the cross. Could it be because of what He says in Luke 22:18? for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”
Drunkenness yesterday, still does not solve the problem we wake up to the next day, and if God wills more, is a dubious tomorrow. Finally 25 minutes in, Pastor Dale points out the need to be Holy and Separate. In the World, but not of it. Can you imagine then here you are at the end of your life, now trying to justify to God why you lived as you did ... ok Gabriel, replay the tape ... (song in the background - Tokin the Line) well you see God, I was too busy living life the way I wanted, so sorry I know you gave me 40-50-70-90 yrs but like Bill and Ted (Excellent Dude) I didn't have time to get to know you or the Word. That would be embarrassing right? It shouldn't be then, how close to the edge of the cliff can we get before we fall off (I see Kyle later alludes to this too), but rather, think about it ... if I choose to live this kind of a lifestyle here and now, what will it be like then later for eternity? If I don't like the things of God here, how then will I even feel comfortable in Heaven? What will I do all day there, lol?
So true. Agree 100% opening the door to darkness. Especially for those who are weak in faith or don’t know God. It is definitely giving the devil a foothold.
I gotta call these guys out on the drinking comparison. I don’t drink but maybe a handful of times a year and a glass of wine or even 1 beer I can feel the affects of the alcohol, I may not be “drunk” but I feel it. I enjoy smoking weed and the affects depends on how often you smoke just the same as affects of drinking depends on how often you drink.
Whenever someone says "it's legal", I remind them that so once was slavery. I also liked Kyle's point that so is having an affair yet we all know it's morally wrong. Love this podcast!
Your argument about Jesus rejecting a narcotic has me wanting to dig deeper about what you mean there. Would you say using marijuana for pain relief is wrong? It sounds like you would say that use of pain relief meds are bad, even though I don’t think you meant that...? Many pain meds can make someone ‘high’ and can be addictive. I know this is a recreational use discussion, but that stuck out because it seems that the discussion crossed lines into talking about medical use as well. I’m sure you don’t mean to refuse pain meds, say like morphine after surgery or childbirth? That can make you pretty high! Can you clarify for people what you are saying here? This matters for those who deal with chronic pain. It’s a tough battle for many who are in that position and trying to make wise choices on a daily basis to keep from addiction and the bad affects of drugs.
Yes, they dropped the ball with that comment. Especially since it was WINE, not a narcotic, as in drugs, and also since we have Like 22:18 as a possible reason for His refusal to drink it.
@@beckyfrechette4439 yes, I’ve heard the Luke 22:18 argument as well. I’m not sure we can talk about marijuana and only talk about it in the context of recreational use. This discussion had many points where they discussed addiction as well as medicinal use which muddied the waters about recreational use. I’m going to listen to the podcasts Jon mentioned and listen to what’s said there. I’m a physical and health educator and have taught young people about drugs and drug abuse so I know the harm here, I’m not trying to downplay. My take away from this was that we need to be sober minded as disciples and believers in Christ. I’m reminded of Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 10, that this panel also mentioned when they talked about bringing glory to God. Paul is clear everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial.
Would you guys be able to do a video on The Chosen? It’s definitely popular and would like your wisdom on approaching whether to watch that series. Thank you.
This was a problem for me yeah like when I was a teenager of course but 33 years later I use it for spine damage and it benefits me so I can read my word, I keep it to myself no one needs to know just like going to the bathroom
I knew the hyssop had spiritual meaning as it was used in the sacrificial ceremonies (including the Passover) but never recognized that Jesus also merely "tasted" it as it was touched to his lips (a fulfillment of prophecy and Jewish ceremonial requirements). I'm so thankful for all the wonderful ways you broke down the biblical reasons why Christians should abstain from marijuana use, and also all of the studies and factual material showing how it is not the innocent/safe/natural "herb" God created.
To the overly-used argument that Christians have "freedom" to do some of these things without condemnation or judgment, I always think of Jesus' temptation in the desert. He could have jumped off the cliff as Satan tempted him (also by twisting scripture) and God could have sent angels to his rescue -- but Jesus answered with scripture which says, "It is also written, 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'" (Matthew 4:7) This is speaking to us -- to those who belong to the Lord and call him "thy God." We are not to test him to rescue us from bad decisions which we know can harm us.
This plays out more glaringly in what Costi faces in the TG ages ... because kids look up to the adults, and if they are doing it, what then (they reason within themselves) is holding them back from being as their parents were (or even exceeding them). If we live a life of situational allowance, we tell our kids, we don't really believe in what we say, just do not do as we do. Kids see thru that. They are reflective mirrors of what is taught and caught in the home. It is morally dishonest. They lose respect, and get angry with it, become confused and divided, and are left to find out answers than from their peers and society. When the parents refuse to set the example, the policeman is the next one to show them there are consequences for allowances and poor choices. Whenever you think it will never happen to me, just ask the mothers of MADD they too thought it would never happen in their home, or with their kids.
So check carefully on genius 1 29 with translation , because the word consumption is in the original scriptures , also I promise a raw marijuana plant still has enough thc to work as medicine also dont forget the scripture that states the plants leaves are for medicine, if your going to be pastors you need to be very technical to reach the whole crowd ,
Is it not better than pharmaceuticals? For instance people that have PTSD? I not talking about smoking it all day or all the time to get high but for PTSD type problems for when needed. I see a huge problem with it becoming the next road deaths along with liquor.
I noticed more feelings than factual on here. I have seen many peoples lives saved from pot. Yes if you smoke a big load just like drinking it can be deadly. People with sleep disorders indica has helped them sleep through the night. PTSD VICTIMS it has saved their lives, cancer victims, children with cancer and seizures etc. but used just to get stoned I am not backing that. Just for medical use. There is a big difference between rec pot and medical pot. People do smoke other herbs for medical reasons also.
I love the practical nerdiness of Kyle about 11 minutes in - "You lose all mental faculty and capacity" ... the picture in my old school mind, is that of a pinball machine at the old pizzeria, that when it got stuck and you moved it the slightest, "TILT" - Game Over. Kyle is right, one drink vs. 4 bottles - different dose, the greater chance of lethality
I have said this so many times and I stand by it... EVERYTHING.... Everything on the face of planet earth was put here for a reason. It is NOT God's fault that we as horrible and sinful species has figured out how to abuse what God has given us. I used to be a drunk, used to be a gutter junkie. I used to abuse everything I could get my hands on. More than a decade ago, I got bored with that frame of mind. I quit drinking, though I will have a margarita with a nice Mexican dinner, or a smooth beer with a nice steak. I also recently had to have a tooth pulled and by deffenition used a controlled substance based on the cocoa plant, same plant that is used to make cocain... I smoke a joint when I have serious migraine too.... my point is, I don't think it's sinful to use Marijuana, but just like wine, moderation. Yes it is causing a problem in society, not because it's " legal ", it's because all to many people abuse it.
Krist (The Title) means the Anointed One. If we Look to KJV we see that there is a specific oil used to Anoint. "..Take Ye 250 Sheckels of Fresh KanehBosm Flower.." The mistranslation occurs between the Septuagint and KJV, where calamus replaces Kannabos. cannabis IS Kannabos(hebrew) which is Qaneh Bosm(Aramaic) Seek and Ye shall find.. Every fruit(bud) bearing seed for the food of man.. a Tree with 12 manner of fruit(oil,fiber,food,clothe,medicine...) Mary + JohnMaryJuana. Selah
You don't get drunk by eating grapes . It's a process just as decarboxylating marijuana and eating it makes your heart Merry when ingested. One glass of wine intoxicates me more than a puff off an vaporizer King James Bible And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
My 1st reaction to this video is Where is Pastor Darryl? - He would have told you the Bob Newhart answer - "STOP IT" and saved 40+ minutes down the rabbit hole. That's it no need to discuss the innuendos of what's allowed, and what is not. I see 19 minutes in - and I am with Pastor Jon on this one, 12 arguments against why do such a show again, I think the last show like this was episode 48 when I began listening to the podcast. I remember how looney Colorado was in the summer I spent there in 2013 when they were giddy even smoking on the sidewalk streets of Starbucks. Of course, #44 was a pretty lawless and godless leader himself.
For me, a Good Rule of Thumb or Thermometer Is: if you have to question a title or something AT ALL. what is that still small voice inside trying to tell you? It is already convicting you, (you have a mountain of justification to climb to do this) - DON'T DO IT, walk away. The more one has to justify their actions (likely sin) the more they tend to ignore it, turn a blind eye, rebel, no matter how loud the conviction is, just to satisfy our own lusts. The focus is OFF GOD, and on SELF. That said, what does this tell you? It should tell you loud and clear, this is WRONG, this is not the way, do not walk ye in it. Unfortunately, even what many consider a "Christian outlet of programming" even TBN is endorsing get your CBD products here. Lord help the blind not to lead others astray who seek you.
Amen, Thank you for addressing this spiritually and scripturally. From a secular standpoint there are also Federal consequences; one thing people don’t realize is with the Federal law currently in place, partaking in these substances you lose constitutionally protected rights. But yes spiritually if we are seeking our peace from anywhere but Christ it’s idolatry and a false hope applicable to gluttony, drunkenness, getting high, adultery and fornication; all these things promise fulfillment for a moment but leave the heart in decay. Thank you pastors for sharing truth!
again the religious argument involving federal law I have to remind you Christians that Jesus died for refusing to obey the law Jesus stayed on the cross and he was allowed to be removed from the cross if he would just obey the law.
I hope you never ever eat any sweets because that would make you a hypocrite. I also hope you don't use soft sheets, an air conditioner in summer, a heater in winter, or anything else that gives your body comfort. Better suffer through it like a "real" Christian! Extra points if you make sure everyone else knows how much you're suffering needlessly, then they will know how Holy you are
Costi is right, there is no relief where God is not found. The Great Physician has mercy to heal, but do you want to be well??? Mind Stayed on Thee ... or Mind Stayed on Me? It is the classic battle of Romans 7 - 8 >>> Costi pointed out correctly if you are in the Word, meditating, praying, fellowshipping, walking with the Lord, then it is going to be hard to sin, with your mind and focus on Him. It is when the Genesis 3 effect of doubt creeps in, has God said, really, can I do this and still be ok? The focus becomes blurred, and the vision to follow, is lost, we have pulled aside adrift in the sea of cultural humanism. All the good thwarted and reduced, forgotten, laid aside, lost.
now when he quotes the books of the Bible and mentions sober-mindedness this is the first place we get into biblical reason and scientific fact being applied correctly because this is where God's word speaks to us on the subject of alcohol and cannabis equally still equally in that Jesus gives us wine He did not turn the water to ice water and he did not turn it to Hawaiian Punch but he turned it into wine. Now we get back to the subject of drink and be merry but don't be a drunkard and this is where the speaker forgets that alcohol exists in the Bible. As long as we're reasonable with it and he assumes that because cannabis can "limit and cloud the mind" and weaken the strength of the spirit in the same way as alcohol. It appears that somehow to this speaker, that alcohol mental effects and cannabis mental effects somehow should be treated differently then alcohol but we still are avoiding the reason and I don't understand why we're avoiding reasons since that seems to be the whole of the topic here is the reason WHY alcohol and cannabis would be looked at differently.? It seems that this is the conversation that was started but then it seems to be danced around and then avoided again and again.
The recipe for holy anointing oil in Exodus 30:22-25 calls for the following ingredients: 500 shekels (about 6 kg or 13 lb) of pure myrrh 250 shekels (about 3 kg or 6.6 lb) of sweet cinnamon 250 shekels (about 3 kg or 6.6 lb) of "kaneh bosm," also known as cannabis/marijuana 500 shekels (about 6 kg or 13 lb) of cassia One hin (about 6 L or 1.6 US gal) of olive oil kaneh bosm/ canna bus
Pastor Dale (part of the A-Team today) is right, it is a heart issue. LUSTS, DESIRES, GREED - knows no limits, nor is ever satisfied no matter the amount. We always want just a little more, more and more. The point of no return is so far out to sea, we no longer see the sand. The line keeps moving further away from the shore. Jeremiah 17.9 is right, the heart is desperately WICKED - evil. It is for this reason in Gen. 6 man's thoughts were continually evil, God had to bring a worldwide baptism into play, and start again with Noah - grandfather to the great Abraham. Who said God is slow at keeping His promises right? There was one thing Kyle mentioned that didn't sound right - as to assume the audience you are addressing. Not all are on track, many are in different stages (God at work - road repair and maintenance). So let's say you have a church attender or a weak nominal Christian who knows about God but is not really plugged in. They are not in prayer, not even regular in fellowship, maybe 1x a month, if a good month, maybe twice. No Bible study, nor anyone to hold them to account. We cannot assume all who say they follow, or maybe the head follows but the heart is catching up, make good decisions. I think we have to then say, such "Christians - if they are saved" can fall prey, and make poor decisions. For that when they do, I am thankful there are ministries in place to restore, and renew, and encourage one to come back to the path, wandering sheep, or pilgrim.
Please pray for me... God has been putting it on my heart to quit and I keep failing I have been smoking for at least 20 years and I do have intrusive thoughts and what the pastor said about the perverse thoughts rings so clear... I love God and I want to stop fully from going back so please pray for me
Bob Marley once said "I smoke the herb because it reveals me to myself" and that is what you are experiencing. You are seeing your own sinful nature. You can blame that on the plant if you want but we all know otherwise. Pot didn't give you perverse thoughts, your flesh did. Of course, if you are smoking for the wrong reasons it can strengthen the flesh. But if you think you're gonna stop smoking and all of a sudden you're not struggling with the flesh any more, you're in for a rude surprise.
My mind goes to funny thoughts with Jon bringing up it's legal so it's ok. So let get this straight. If I can go 65 on the freeway (legal) can I do the same in an unmarked residential street area or parking lot?
Would alcohol fall in the same category here? I have true Christian friends that think it is ok to drink. I personally have a problem with alcohol and I do believe it’s trouble. If anything, it’s flirting with trouble.
I think they kinda covered this in the episode. They mentioned that many people drink alcohol without getting drunk, but nobody smokes weed unless they're getting high I think many Christians shouldn't drink because it's an area thag requires extreme caution, but the consumption of alcohol at a base level isn't sin
@@voidsabre_ There is no safe amount of alcohol to consume. Your body metabolizes any alcohol into highly toxic actetyl aldehyde which passes through every part of your body. Alcohol kills countless people every day and ruins families and lives and they somehow think it's safer than a plant. No credibility from these guys.
We are called to be soberminded. Getting drunk is a sin. It is mentioned in the Bible. Some people think drinking if you aren't getting drunk is okay, but I think you are right that it is just asking for trouble. It's not good for your body either.
As a pot smoking Christian i know i need to stop im a go up to the alter on sunday and have my church pray for me i want to put all my trust in god alone ciggerates and cannabis have a strong hold on me
What about CBD? It doesn’t give a euphoric high and allows said person taking CBD to not feel physical pain, go to sleep, and control anxiety without the drunkenness feeling. I mainly want to use it for the medicinal CBD affects with no THC but I would like to make sure.
It’s fine. Don’t overthink it. Cannabis is a sacred plant created for us by God. Did you know the human body comes equipped with an endocannabinoid system, which means we have thc receptors in our brains, which means we are wired to receive thc and cbd. It’s made for us, and if we did not have those receptors, we would not feel the effects of the plant.
again he equates any effect by cannabis as titled as getting high but he redefines levels of alcoholic consumption and ignores the term high when it appropriate applies to alcohol
Excellent conversation. I appreciate the thoughtful and grace field discussion over scripture. How would you apply this conversation topic and those scriptures to recreational cigar smoking. As in once a month a couple times a year? I have heard of Christian ministers say that they used cigar and poker to help convert others.
Thank you for this. I know this is reference to recreational use however I also think this is all.true for medical use too. I know this 1st hand. I attempted (at my husband's direction against my better judgement) "medical" (whatever that really is) and it was NOT GOOD. I took the recommended dose that they try to tell you which they don't know what you're supposed to take and how much and there were a couple times when you don't like how I felt it was not a good experience. Even medicinal marijuana Alters the mind too much and there's no regulation on it and no real actual medical person giving you exactly what you need to do and take. Thank God for opening my eyes. Now as hard as it is for me to I pray and ask God to help my mind heal naturally.
Do you think think doctors give the right dosage of prescription medications? Everyone metabolizes different. Medical error is the 3rd leading cause of death, most of the errors are people’s bodies metabolism not being what is called normal. Most pain medications use the cyp2d6 gene route. A lot of people have variants in this gene that causes their body to metabolize to fast or slow or not at all causing the medication to build up in the body causing deadly overdoses. Guess what else uses this gene! Just because it is not good for you does not mean it is not good for other people.
@@tam4givinAGREED!!! Everything was put here for a reason and a purpose. It's not God's fault we as a stupid species have leaned to abuse what He has put here for us. Just like wine, moderation and knowing yourself better than any doctor. It's NOT for everybody, same as wine, some people don't drink because they don't like the side effects. That doesn't mean it's wrong for everyone. The foolish mind set it immediately jump to " its wrong " because it didn't help you in the way you think it should.
Lots of opinions mixed with scripture here. We appreciate the dialogue, but the personal views make this video, in a way, entertainment. To speak on alcohol tolerance as a sweeping motion in human beings is inaccurate. “One glass of wine won’t make you drunk.” Definitely not my experience. Again, to speak on The spiritual alertness of anyone at anytime is kinda judgmental… like how would you know for certain? Wine hasn’t been modified ? There’s a study to disprove all that you have :( Finding relief outside of Christ SPOT ON. absolutely correct. Applies to many things. How can you say we don’t have peace in God. How do y’all know lol. Gen 1:29 - why did He make it and what was it for? Jesus refused narcotic because He had a greater assignment. Lol Lol so many reaches in this, thanks for a video idea :]
What would Jesus do? He would not spend a lot of money on electronics to be on RUclips! Or TV! Would not spend money on high cost vacations, especially cruises!
So it comes down to - do we believe the World? It's legal. It's good, it's relief, medication >>> or do we believe God, keep this up, and it is the highway to hell some groups sang about in the 70s and 80s. Just because you can do something - doesn't mean you should do something. Wherever we go as Christians, we bring Jesus along with us. Does Jesus want to be in most beds we wind up in along life? Kyle is right - it is easy to get sucked into - Do this / but not that ... so much so, some wash their hands from decisions and say, they told me to do so. No personal responsibility or accountability. We cannot pinch-hit in heaven. Everyone gets to step up to the plate when it is their turn at-bat. There is no "Recreational Christian Living" (ala carte options on the menu of preference) so there is no medicinal "recreational use of MJ" outside to justify defiance, rebellion, selfishness, and sin. Yet no one lives up perfectly to the Law, 10 or 613 commandments, we fail. We need a Savior. We are sinners. By our own will. By our own choice. By our own rebellion and idolatry to not trust God, and put ourselves in a position above He who created the universe, now that is just a tad arrogant filled with pride or ignorance I would say, take your fancy on that one. Jesus said, "Follow Me" ... not EF Hutton - not Ford (who has a better idea), not Allstate (who says you are in good hands, except for acts of God, some insurance policy), not Avis (who puts you in the driver's seat) ... FOLLOW ME, means come out, as He is holy, we walk in His grace, and are sanctified in obedience over the years he gives us to complete our mission here on earth. Fear God. Keep all He asks of you!
As the pastors say, there is still time to make good, make right, if we ask Jesus to intercede right now. A full U-turn. From WASTEFUL to USEFUL and GRATEFUL. God Saves. God Redeems.
The next statement he says is there's not THC in the raw cannabis plant but there is there is the exact amount of THC that you ingest and the raw cannabis plant it is THCA which will not get you high until you heat it and it converts it to a different form of THC but it's still there in the plant It's not something we're putting in later and all you have to do is heat that plant to decarboxylate it smoking it heats it and instantly decarboxylates it and that's how you ingest the THC directly from the plant that he says it's not in He once again splitting hairs in the fact that THCA THC acid is a form that needs to be heated before you get high from it but it's not like it's not in the plant and he's only speaking half science still.
Yeah, he completely lost me at that point. He acted like it was some sort of chemical conversion that has to happen in a lab (concentrates are made in labs though). Baking it to decarb the THCa is just baking it. Most foods go through chemical changes when baked -- are we not supposed to eat vegetables that are cooked? Half science is a great way to put it. It's either ignorance or deception on their part.
Can you reply with a further explanation about Jesus not accepting a narcotic on the cross? I'm thinking you're referencing the vinegar, but I've never heard this concept before. God bless!
Jesus did not take the sour wine (vinegar) with gall (together making an anesthetic to soothe pain), I believe, because He did not want to lessen the pain of His sacrifice or be mentally unaware of what He was doing. Imagine instead of paying for a sacrifice, you receive it for free and then use it as an offering to God. It wouldn't be much of a sacrifice, would it? I love that Jesus did this because it showed the purity in His actions of dying for us and being the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.
@@a.kay.c Actually, He didn’t drink it because of what he says in Luke 22:18 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”
Adding to the Word, is just as much of a sin as taking from it. If being 100% sober was such a priority, people would be crying about coffee and sugar too.
The next comment made on the show, is about how we're "not talking about" different aspects of types of cannabis legalization or use, we're only talking about the proposed recreational usage of it. does that somehow change whether God has a problem with us using marijuana? is this conversation about whether man is unchristian for not following man's laws? because that's the only reason I can see for mentioning legality at all. Once again, absolutely inappropriate for we humans to be mixing up man's law and God's law. how are we having a discussion with Christianity being in there without a major part of the whole not being recognizing the simple fact though bang man's law can sometimes be very very counter to obeying God's will. how do you leave that mandatory part of discussion out since that is such an important part of what we've been taught our entire lives about what Christianity is and about jesus's sacrifice and how it all came to be and how it played out how we pretending none of this exist and why are we ever mixing up discussions of man's law and God's law at the same time if it is not solely about what I just said? Are we having a discussion about what God's will is regardless of human laws and human comfort and human will and desire? If that's the case then it doesn't matter how many of man's laws we break. We follow God's law! If the discussion is not about being a Christian and is about legality, about man's law and getting in trouble for illegality then we need to leave Gods law out of it but we need to figure out what the discussion is about If you're going to say law. If this were an Islamic conversation where man's laws were based on what we believe God's laws are, that would be different, but we started this conversation out saying "Christians" so therefore we need to do the Christian thing and totally separate man's law from God's law. Remember Jesus was put to death because he refused to obey man's law!!! He could have been taken off the cross at any time if he would just obey man's law and denounce his stewardship to God. but Jesus refused to obey man's law because it would conflict with his father's law! but this conversation video is omitting these facts of Christianity and yet still trying to have a conversation within that topic.
You always get high the THC effects the mind quite a bit even if you are used to it who knows how it effects your thinking. You also have to remember if you are drunken it can effect you spiritually but you have free choice it is up to you.
@@Steven-jf8hq right, being sober by it’s definition means to not be taken over by spiritous liquors, according to the KJV1611. But I agree, it’s not for everyone! I wouldn’t be able to take meds that bipolar people do, cuz I would literally be ‘drunk’ and bot able to pass a sobriety test. Everyone is different.
@@BHIPHOP91 I think about sober as in not taking drugs but at the same time people told me sober means to be one way and not all over the place. Like keeping our minds on Christ but i just know marijuana i have good moments with it and some not. Id rather not be on anything and deal with the problems through Jesus
@@Steven-jf8hq I completely agree with you. I too think of this in that same manner; for me, it can become a sin absolutely! Just as it is to be “a sluggard” or slothful, cannabis can become a sin for anyone. Including myself! But that’s why I don’t knit-pick at peoples issues with sin, I have plenty of my own to work at.
It amazes me how many pastors can't open up there. Bible and read what God wrote Genesis. God gave you all seed bearing plants and said it was good for you even in the hebrew language and the jewish language.
Does that just mean food? Pasters? There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person defiles him -mark 7:15-16 Do you not see what ever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him since it enters not his heart, but his stomach and is expelled. - mark 7 18:19
The moral of the story here then is - a little sin or a lot, still is sin, and it still kills. Why entertain the topic? The evil one, the devil plants a promise of pleasure, but in reality, condemns the sinner who breaks the law. He comes to steal, kill, sift, and destroy, to cancel or render ineffective. Jesus said He came to give us life, and in Him, we find life in an astounding abundance if ... we are obedient. The devil has come to distort and pervert, ruin anything good God has given or promised. So like drugs and chemicals, it does what it was created to do, alter, distort, and addict so much so, one becomes dependent, and as Jon says, these do not care how they get their drug of choice, so long as they get it. Steal, kill, got to have it. These would sell out their grandmother to support their habit. How do I know? I was a substance abuse counselor for Chicanos Por La Causa running 12 step groups, meeting with probation officers, exchanging reports on clients, their progress in counseling sessions, etc. What I saw and heard, was tragedies of real life in counseling offenders, and how it affected them, their kids, their spouses, their families. They knew it destroyed their brain, distorted their thinking, limited them. This is why they call it "dope" yet easier said than done to avoid it when you do not have Jesus as your sponsor to hold you accountable, among others which is the secret of home groups.
Work out ur good own salvation with fear and trembling and if the righteous is scarcity saved where will the sinner appear and what manner of conduct should u have
There is no commandment that forbids smoking cannabis. When the rich man asked Jesus in Matthew, what must he do to inherit eternal life? Jesus answered, "Obey The Commandments". Take the plank out of your eye, before you try to take the speck out of your brothers eye. The 66 books of Bible is full of contradictions, because only the first 40 Books Including what they call Matthew; were originally written in Hebrew. Only 40 Books are Inspired. spaul and all the greco/roman book after are contradictory and blasphemous. If you want to talk the talk walk the walk..
Western culture refuses to recognize the plant was introduced by the Scythian to the Hebrews. The Israeli Museum transferred the Temple of Tel-Arad (King Hezekiah-reign), the Incense altar has remains of cannabis, which was used during temple worshiping and drinking parties. The plant Kanne Bossom = cannabis was one of the five components of the Holy Anointing Oil, which is also used as medicinal purposes, textile, clothing, ropes and such. The bible speaks of a time and place in the middle east, two millenniums ago. I believe in the Almighty God, and not man's perception of what it infers from what it can relate to as an outsider looking in and saying otherwise, to their way of life.
There were two failures made in this broadcast: legality (federally) and not mentioning other risks of using it beyond the effects on your body or your spiritual walk. 1. It is illegal federally to use marijuana. If You are a federal employee I wouldn’t be using MJ nor even have a marijuana card. You would want to keep your job!. 2. In the state of Colorado and possibly in other states where it is legal statewide, if you have a marijuana card you will lose your concealed weapons permit. The state will send you a notice that you no longer have your concealed weapons for it. You’ll have to reapply and it could take a while for you to get your concealed weapons permit back. You might have to prove that you’re not on marijuana I don’t know how that process works.
Talking about sober mindfulness we are on an important point, while we're talkin on the subject of sins vs law since that's what was brought up, law doesn't make something right or wrong. Remember Jesus was put to death for refusing to obey the law. Jesus was killed for being a legal dissident. The only place where I've ever seen God's word suggested we should follow the law is the story of the man being told to catch a fish in reaching a fish's mouth for a coin with which to pay his taxes. There's also the biblical story of Jesus and whose face is on that coin, something's the extent of if you're going to use it then pay the taxes for it or something but Jesus was a legal dissident so sin and law are different according to the bible.
Also late-night Jon puts images in my head - it's legal, so it's okay right? Uh - no not really. He's given us fire to stay warm when cold, and electricity to enjoy (lights on, ice cream cold, not necessarily in that order). Yet not used for the right purpose, they are not enjoyable at all, fire burns, electricity is shocking.

“You can’t smoke and not get high” Hhahaha amateur. Build enough of a tolerance and you can’t get high no matter how much you smoke, if you’re at that point you need to stop.
I used to smoke a lot in high school m, in the 90’s. Now I’m 40 and still have anxiety and panic attacks from the weed. Maybe my homies could handle it, weed messed me up and I don’t care who tells me otherwise. The culture of the 90’s was pro weed. It was every rap song and all the kids did it. Wish I never touched it
Yet my thoughts fellas on this one especially for a former Baptist flavored foundation, what is the old saying? We don't smoke & We don't chew and We don't go w Boys & Girls Who Do that could have saved a lot of talk time
So as Pastor Jon has been doing prior to the John series, the Old Testament Scriptures, the ones Jesus used and the disciples learned from are useful. In fact, we are in OT territory, just like Israel was taken away and punished, we soon can be totally destroyed, but ... for God if His mercy extends. We are now in times to those who want to burn bibles, persecute Christians, those who wish to say wrong is good, and bad is cool, and good is passe out of style archaic even ancient backward thinking to their superior elite progressive minds. These cannot even govern themselves or their households, or now even identify biology of their house members. These are lawless, forgetting God. Cancelling all that was good, moral and true. These live the NIKE Creed. Just Do It. When you remove the measure of absolute standard, you remove the reason and sanity to abide. As Paul said, if this is false, we then are most miserable if the Titanic isn't really sinking. So these wish to forget a past, without blood, without payment, without confession, without repentance that leads to forgiveness.
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. 19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children. John 11: 18 -19 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. Mathew 7: 15 This was what the apostles had to say about eating and drinking. Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 1corithians 10: 24-29 says Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. 25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake: 26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof. 27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. 28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof: Romans 14:17-20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and recieves human approval.
Can Christians use sugar caffeine tobacco the internet or anything else that might turn into an addiction? Is that what we are asked to worry about rather than sharing the gospel and then praying the Holy Spirit convicts people of the truth through what is already written in their hearts by God? Until Christianity stops being a self righteous social club the body of Christ will continue to falter. Stop trying to sit on the throne you are not fit for and just be a good example of Gods image and when you fall short pray for forgiveness for me it's that simple.
Thankful for you all and addressing this! The gospel message at the end shows the heart of our pastors and directing us toward Christ!

I have the same problems except also very bad chronic pain
I am still not going to make excuses because I'd like to please Him
What you really just said is what Jesus did on the cross is not enough.
I've been smoking marijuana four fifty-one years and I love the Lord Jesus Christ my God

I started too to help with yes ptsd not from war but assist trauma the stuff otc I was on was messing with my health weight gain an igh BP the flower gas helped me so much
Blessed be tree family ;)
Yes, nothing is barred from the one who lives in Faith!

(for professional truckers)
but I don't see how certain activities have anything whatsoever to do with the topic.
Then why did the MESSIAH turn water into wine
YES.
Im so appreciative for my brothers in christ here this isnt talked about enough
A better discusion to have about marijuanna is about it's medicinal uses. I wholeheartedly believe t was not given to us for recreational use.
there is a huge difference between healthy recreational use, and abuse of it, just like the difference between someone who occasionally has one beer with friends, vs a raging alcoholic. Christianity is not about making a bunch of rules "do this, don't do that." And yes, there are numerous miraculous medical uses as well. In the Bible we see wine for both recreation as well as medicine, and no one has ever presented an honest argument that would exclude marijuana from this same usage.
What’s wrong with it to simply enjoy?
I have to disagree with the pastor when he says that you cant smoke you can't smoke marijuana and not get high. That is inaccurate, as with any substance your tolerance can build over time; moreover, their os a correlation between the level/rate of absorption and a persons BMI.
I love how people who have no experience on a topic talk as if they are experts on a topic
Ok completely on the fence about this
I smoke about .15 of a gram and drink 1 beer when i walk my dog and 1 beer when i get home.
I dont know i dont want to be of the world i also dont want to be a christian solely out of fear of hell sorry im ranting i dont even know what im trying ro say anymore
I hate this 😔
legit questions to ask im lost on it too. Like if smoking is a sin then mcdonalds and coffee would have to be too. Coffee can create a buzz and mcdonald's is horrible for your health

but I mean even Jesus drank wine and even God himself one time ordered the Israelites to use some of their tithe money to by wine to celebrate something sooo 🤷🏾♂️
@@Lukefromdaridge ok yeah that's what I was thinking too thank you for the input
Yet.
what they are doing is 100% biblical, and 1000% percent safer than sleeping pills

Moral of the story is stay sober and don’t commit adultery!
Spot on… 😊 I greatly appreciate your love of God’s Truth and your courage to address these issues.
Whenever someone says "it's legal", I remind them that so once was slavery. I also liked Kyle's point that so is having an affair yet we all know it's morally wrong. Love this podcast!
I feel the same way about people who justify eating meat
comparing a natural and miraculous plant to the brutal practice of chattel slavery is disingenuous to say the very least.
That's where I'm stuck also
Yes, they dropped the ball with that comment.
Thank you.
Everyone on this panel is acting spiritual but they don’t know spiritual they are just bodies of water walking and talking
God gave man every herb bearing seed for food nutrients stress appetite etc
Where do you get your information? Hyssop? Jewish ceremonial requirements?
Thank you brothers.
GOD created it and said it was good.
Yes, it is better than pharmaceuticals! These men have not done good research. They are making many false claims.
Anything please tell me why it’s wrong to get high. What is wrong with relaxing once in a while tell me please since you know everything.
i smoke weed and Jesus is my God . talk to me ….. but before you comment please google the definition of sober minded then let’s dialogue ♥️
Exactly it means to be of sound mind and thought.
That last part was beautiful thank youuuuu 🫶
Krist (The Title) means the Anointed One. If we Look to KJV we see that there is a specific oil used to Anoint. "..Take Ye 250 Sheckels of Fresh KanehBosm Flower.."
The mistranslation occurs between the Septuagint and KJV, where calamus replaces Kannabos. cannabis IS Kannabos(hebrew) which is Qaneh Bosm(Aramaic) Seek and Ye shall find.. Every fruit(bud) bearing seed for the food of man.. a Tree with 12 manner of fruit(oil,fiber,food,clothe,medicine...) Mary + JohnMaryJuana. Selah
Who is John?
You don't get drunk by eating grapes . It's a process just as decarboxylating marijuana and eating it makes your heart Merry when ingested. One glass of wine intoxicates me more than a puff off an vaporizer
King James Bible
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
Thank you for finally making it clear to me
For me, a Good Rule of Thumb or Thermometer Is: if you have to question a title or something AT ALL. what is that still small voice inside trying to tell you?
Extra points if you make sure everyone else knows how much you're suffering needlessly, then they will know how Holy you are
And God looked and saw all he created was that it was good . .
The recipe for holy anointing oil in Exodus 30:22-25 calls for the following ingredients:
500 shekels (about 6 kg or 13 lb) of pure myrrh
250 shekels (about 3 kg or 6.6 lb) of sweet cinnamon
250 shekels (about 3 kg or 6.6 lb) of "kaneh bosm," also known as cannabis/marijuana
500 shekels (about 6 kg or 13 lb) of cassia
One hin (about 6 L or 1.6 US gal) of olive oil
kaneh bosm/ canna bus
Smoking cbd doesnt get you high though.😊
Why then are we all provided with an endocanabinoid system...
I had the same thought, it’s built in. Before any of us use it or even know it exists.
This is a tough one to figure out.
My mind goes to funny thoughts with Jon bringing up it's legal so it's ok. So let get this straight. If I can go 65 on the freeway (legal) can I do the same in an unmarked residential street area or parking lot?
well parking lots are private property but going 60 on a road unmarked... I can't see you getting a ticket for it.
Would alcohol fall in the same category here? I have true Christian friends that think it is ok to drink. I personally have a problem with alcohol and I do believe it’s trouble. If anything, it’s flirting with trouble.
I think they kinda covered this in the episode. They mentioned that many people drink alcohol without getting drunk, but nobody smokes weed unless they're getting high
I think many Christians shouldn't drink because it's an area thag requires extreme caution, but the consumption of alcohol at a base level isn't sin
It's poison weed is a plant and has health benefits
Helpful!
again he equates any effect by cannabis as titled as getting high but he redefines levels of alcoholic consumption and ignores the term high when it appropriate applies to alcohol
The foolish mind set it immediately jump to " its wrong " because it didn't help you in the way you think it should.
question: If i ate a brownies with cannabie, does it make me unclean in the eyes of the LORD?
Lots of opinions mixed with scripture here.
We appreciate the dialogue, but the personal views make this video, in a way, entertainment.
To speak on alcohol tolerance as a sweeping motion in human beings is inaccurate. “One glass of wine won’t make you drunk.” Definitely not my experience.
Again, to speak on The spiritual alertness of anyone at anytime is kinda judgmental… like how would you know for certain?
Wine hasn’t been modified ?
There’s a study to disprove all that you have :(
Finding relief outside of Christ
SPOT ON. absolutely correct. Applies to many things.
How can you say we don’t have peace in God. How do y’all know lol.
Gen 1:29 - why did He make it and what was it for?
Jesus refused narcotic because He had a greater assignment. Lol
Lol so many reaches in this, thanks for a video idea :]
Apparently marijuana was one of the ingredients in Jesus Anointing oil.
Jesus was accused of being a wine bibber but I would say he was having social drink with friends.
What would Jesus do? He would not spend a lot of money on electronics to be on RUclips! Or TV! Would not spend money on high cost vacations, especially cruises!
Amen and Jezus doing not smoking a joint to get high lol.😂
God Saves. God Redeems.
i am actually getting dumber watching this good luck guys
@@a.kay.c Actually, He didn’t drink it because of what he says in Luke 22:18
for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”
@2:45 “you can’t smoke pot and not be high.” I’ll 100% disagree with you & the laws for sobriety tests prove otherwise.
lol like we really have to think , is being drunk the same thing as being high
Marijuana, Alcohol, Tobacco, Food, Sex..
It amazes me how many pastors can't open up there. Bible and read what God wrote Genesis. God gave you all seed bearing plants and said it was good for you even in the hebrew language and the jewish language.
How can you say you can’t smoke pot and not get high 😑
Does that just mean food? Pasters?
There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person defiles him -mark 7:15-16
Do you not see what ever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him since it enters not his heart, but his stomach and is expelled.
The answer is no because it could make their psychosis even worse.
There were two failures made in this broadcast:
legality (federally) and not mentioning other risks of using it beyond the effects on your body or your spiritual walk.
That is a fair point. Thank you for making it.
Would love a BIBLICAL explanation. I did not see much scripture here.
Quit lying to God's people it is a gift and it is medicine from him and has so many benefits.
Also late-night Jon puts images in my head - it's legal, so it's okay right? Uh - no not really. He's given us fire to stay warm when cold, and electricity to enjoy (lights on, ice cream cold, not necessarily in that order). Yet not used for the right purpose, they are not enjoyable at all, fire burns, electricity is shocking.
lol i have a feeling this will not reach the intended audience and only those which will affirm many of your confirmation biases. .. all old heads talking in circles with the same points that have been used a million times over.....
“You can’t smoke and not get high”
Hhahaha amateur.
Wish I never touched it
So all the people with anxiety problems smoked it? Nope. Why do you think that is what your anxiety is from?
Yet my thoughts fellas on this one especially for a former Baptist flavored foundation, what is the old saying?
We don't smoke & We don't chew
and We don't go w Boys & Girls Who Do
that could have saved a lot of talk time
They have no idea
THC = The Highest Christ…. Nuff said.
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children. John 11: 18 -19
There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. Mathew 7: 15
This was what the apostles had to say about eating and drinking.
1corithians 10: 24-29 says
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
Romans 14:17-20
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and recieves human approval.
