He was operating on another level back then .no one else came close .. You can see his impact by comparing the style and quality of the best players at the beginning of his career and then at the end it’s like like a different art form..The more I learn about him and what he had to put up with ,the more I’m convinced that he is the most naturally gifted of all time in spite of his shortcomings

It's crazy that he didn't suffer more serious injuries given how much they went for him. The irony is he got sent off in his 1st world cup in 1982 as he retaliated after the constant battering he got esp against Italy & Brazil & not 1 person was sent off for what they did to him and it was against Brazil he was sent off. It was nasty what he did but its disgusting what he put up with. He's the most fouled player in a world cup I believe. If he played now with the perfect pitches & friendlier rules I think he would absolutely wipe the floor of them all. He probably managed the chap pitches as he learnt to play in the slums of Buenos Aires where there were no football pitches so he was probably used to playing on worse!

Hey dude , nice appreciation video... On the quality of the videos, which are the only available to the world, there should be a petition for all the original sources to come forward with their versions that appear on this video and all the others. The world deserves them , and especially since he is gone , we really should get together and say , hey , come on , this is the best footballer of all time and the quality of these videos are crap ! As a tribute to the man , and to do him proper justice, get your fingers out and put together a comprehensive high quality version of these clips. If he has a foundation., like in the same way Jimi Hendirix family make sure that his legacy is maintained in the highest order, they should get on this if they arent already. Peace

I'm a soccer fan ... and from what I've seen, it seems to me that no one had Diego's context.
In fact, I'm not from a generation that has seen the best of Diego live ... I saw more of his last years of career live and then I saw everything he had done before.
Thank God soccer is no longer so aggressive ... but it must be recognized that it is a great advantage for today's players. They have many advantages compared to the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Another one that for me has been the best I've seen is Ronaldo Nazario ... He was a tank
