Lovely video! Sylvaine Delacourte fragrances are terrific, but very classic. She used to be creative director at Guerlain some time ago and has some very famous fragrances to her name (including Gourmand Coquin) - she has a whole line of vanilla, musk and orange blossom fragrances. My favourite vanilla from her range is Valkyrie it has a basil note that is lovely. A lot of people really rate her musk fragrances.

It is so refreshing to see someone here on youtube not liking perfumes they smell, because this way I know you are genuine and have your own opinion and taste. I can’t tell you how many times I ordered perfumes (samples luckily) based on the hype and only positive reviews on youtube just to be disappointed because they are nothing like what all youtubers are talking about. There is no way people can like everything they smell. Great video 🥰

I think a lot of people tend to simply not speak about the ones they dont like. I had similar experiences like but BUT also: perfumes smells so different on everybody. Some hyped up perfumes just smell different on me than what other smell, you know?
I actually love piano santal, it's one of the perfumes that actually do live up to the hype (for me) 🙂

Wonderful video! I’ve not tried Piano Santal, but I also went though a sandalwood phase. Several I found to be nauseating. The one that I now own and love is Sacred Wood by Kilian. If you’ve not tried it, I highly recommend getting a sample!

I tried Sommelier du Parfum recently. It was an excellent experience and delivered from France to UK very quickly and the shipping was free!
I highly recommend the Sylvaine Delacourte Sampler. She has three lines- musk, vanilla, and orange blossom- with 5 fragrances in each line. I think I paid around $30-$40, and it was well worth it to sample her creations.
hab leider das gleiche problem wie du mit dem silky woods. finde durch die ledernote riecht der bei mir sogar etwas muffig. bei goldfield&banks gefallen mir die frischeren düfte besser

Na toll, jetzt muss ich "Cuir d'Orient" auch haben da "Cuir Beluga" mein absolutes Lieblingsparfum ist.
Im übrigen, probier mal "Cashmere Vanilla" von Alyssia Ashley. Das ist bisher DIE Alternative für jeden Tag wenn man Cuir Beluga liebt. Ist seeeehr preiswert und kommt wirklich sehr nah an Cuir Beluga😉
Mir ging es mit Piano santal genau wie dir. Ich bekam leider durch diese Milchnote leichte Übelkeit 🤷🏼♀️
Den Cuir D‘Orient habe ich als 8ml von Pafory. Der Duft ist super schön und in meiner Nase sind dieser und Cuir Beluga Cousinen 😅 aber keine Schwestern. Ich würde wahrscheinlich zu Cuir Beluga tendieren, mag aber beide wirklich gern. 😊

Ich rieche bei Dark auch etwas Rum am Anfang. Ich mag das Herbe zu Beginn. Dann wird er für mich im drydown viiiiel zu süss und ich ertrage ihn dann nicht mehr. Leider!!! Zu penetrant.
I couldn't agree more re: Cacao Porcelana. It's horrible on my skin and your description is spot like old decaying flower 🤮
