I did my telehandler test on a scorpion, then worked with one for a few months. Have worked with JCB and Merlo too. Personally I found the claas and the JCB to be lovely to operate, wasn't a fan of the Merlo though. I'd recommend having a play with one of the bigger scorpions personally.
Nice machine alright, but I'm with John on this. Would certainly have some doubts on the balance especially for working on heights. But, the features on it are excellent.
Hi George. JCB is better than Dieci. We have JCB telehandler 560-80. Before JCB we had Manitou and Catterpillar telehandler and JCB telehandlers and loaders are best. With our JCB telehandler fulling biogas station every day, work on silage, haylage and GPS. In Spring and winter and before canola load cow manure to TEBBE spreader. In Summer Harvest load canola and wheat to trucks and every work with JCB is perfect :-) Greetings from Czech republic.
Certainly like the electric window in the door, sensor on the joystick and front window visability! JCB need to up their game a little but would agree with John and stick to the JCB. The controls on that joystick seem in very strange places but I guess that's what your used to
Like with everything... some good points and some bad points. I am wondering what type of sensor they are using in the grip and what happens with a failure of it... I can see that being a real pain if it failed.
With the CVT transmission you need to think of the pros and cons, the smoothness and comfort but with sluggishness vs more difficult and less comfortable but more power
There was a comparison test done recently in either Farm Machinery Journal, Farmers Weekly or Farmers Guardian (can't remember which one!!) I think they liked the Dieci but the JCB came out tops, just.
I'm personally not a fan of the door, I like having visibility through the bottom half of it and not having it blocked by something that looks like it came off of a car. The joystick sensor sounds like a great idea though. Seeing how much road work you do I'd try the new JCB's because that sounds like it's a great combination of their high speed road gears and then low gear smooth hydrostatic, you're clearly used to them too. I don't think I could get used to the shuttle and boom extension being that way around on the joystick though
How do you get on with the 535.95 JCB? We had 2 new ones this year and they have been terrible breaking down all the time. The list is almost endless at one point in harvest we had there demo one because ours were so bad then that one had a fault as well.
Ian Aitken for what they are doing with straw a TM320 would be no use what so ever, my 530/70 will lift higher than a 320 but even it isn't big enough for them. They need reach for stacking straw.
Having the boom pivot over the rear axel means you don't lose any lift capacity, where as on your JCBs, because the boom pivots behind the rear axel you will lose some lift capacity in a certain section of the lift
I really like it,but im still undecided between it and the jcb,the vision nd cab comfort and controls are excellent, especially forward and back, but usually id say stay with what you know but I stuck between them
at the start with the lift test we find the same with the jcb excavators the cheap rexroth servos can't keep up with your hands and they will often shit themselves and stop and you return to neutral then all is well again
sounds good having sensor in grip, but sounds expensive when it packs up, stick to jcb mate, tell him to save his money for doing up the layland or new combine
The highest the bales are suggested to be stacked for hard ground or concrete is 10. www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg125.pdf Very close to trying achieve an industrial loader height (that have sway frames/ levelling legs, longer boom etc) with an agricultural telehandler.
I used to drive forklifts, and you get to learn the overrun to position yourself, then getting into a machine with that system of stopping quick when you come off the accelerator , and allways stopping short ,of bays ,.it can be really annoying ,...
Your make the same mistake as us buy a dieci because it's cheaper and sounds good but in the long run the technical support isn't as good as jcb and the machine just isn't a hard wearing and I think not as stable
well i dont like it where it jumps up and down on the road and when you said about the hyricect boom it is a NO for me :( SORRY goerge it would of been of them 2 then it would of been a yes but no
No matter the features on the machines the most important part is the safety and stability seeing as you guys stack so high as quickly as yous can
thats a lovely lookin machine, an excellent design and great visibility,.a good allrounder,..a good cab on it too,..
When you are spending money on something you depend on to make money, service and support are more important than almost anything else.
Apart from the great window for loading. I would stick with jcb hoping for them to take the idea also in there next models.

looks a great machine george
I am with john, keep the jcb

The infra and support for jcb is well established in the uk, think it may have issues trying to compete with them
That's a lovely machine. What psi is the power washer that u have?

Manitou's have the comfort and specs of the dieci, but is more powerful and less sluggish as well as having a very good resale value

have you looked at the jcb tm320 ? brilliant bit of kit
Ian Aitken for what they are doing with straw a TM320 would be no use what so ever, my 530/70 will lift higher than a 320 but even it isn't big enough for them. They need reach for stacking straw.
Keeping it simple is best. Them DPF's are more trouble than they are worth.
Can you please do a video on the jcb backhoe

It's also dealer back up how fast you get repairs and parts
I think you should try a claas scorpion, they're very good machines
All the local farmers here use Manitou or Merlo.
They say Dieci just ain't as good.
Is that the current DIECI versus the latest JCB (competing in the same class?)
Nice tidy looking loader I thought. Some nice features to it. Would John test out a Merlo if they have a suitable sized one?
at the start with the lift test we find the same with the jcb excavators the cheap rexroth servos can't keep up with your hands and they will often shit themselves and stop and you return to neutral then all is well again
You've also got to look at the resale value. If the dealer offered a guaranteed buyback then it would be worth considering. Otherwise, it's a gamble.
I have noticed you coughing quite often now you need to get that sorted. Could be nothing serious but it's worth the oppointment
in your cow feeding video you said John wanted a smaller hp tractor, ever thought of a JCB 4160?
How many hours do the two machines have?
hey, what licence do you need in uk i got tr1 tr2 sz sm thanks
If the dealer is having no manners and doesn't want to deal with yous then don't deal with them at all, disgrace
Hi
Looks a good machine but you`d need the dealer back up to go with it.
Сколько лет погрузчикам JCB? Нет ли у них новых моделей не уступающих по скорости Dieci. Помимо скорости остается вопрос качества и долговечности.
What's the jcb 3cx used for?
Are you trying any other telehandler on demo ?
sounds good having sensor in grip, but sounds expensive when it packs up, stick to jcb mate, tell him to save his money for doing up the layland or new combine
maybe the jcb is slower because it is much older
The highest the bales are suggested to be stacked for hard ground or concrete is 10. www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg125.pdf
Very close to trying achieve an industrial loader height (that have sway frames/ levelling legs, longer boom etc) with an agricultural telehandler.
yea but the people who make those rules don't live in the real world.could u remajine how big that stack would be if they only went 10 high
George you should tell John (The Legend) that Dieci is Italian for JCB he might get you one then
I used to drive forklifts, and you get to learn the overrun to position yourself, then getting into a machine with that system of stopping quick when you come off the accelerator , and allways stopping short ,of bays ,.it can be really annoying ,...
is this your farm or are you a farm hand ?
its his father inlaw
Oky
George works there and John owns the farm
the noob John ain't his farther in law
That's Dieci is better than the JCB has a lot more space in the cab
Your make the same mistake as us buy a dieci because it's cheaper and sounds good but in the long run the technical support isn't as good as jcb and the machine just isn't a hard wearing and I think not as stable
i could see a regular diesi driver getting in to a jcb, having a few bumps, because of the over run and forgetting the brakes,...
jcb the best of course
Get a claas scorpion George.
buy it
it is a lot safer than that deci the jcb
But JCB are still good tho
well i dont like it where it jumps up and down on the road and when you said about the hyricect boom it is a NO for me :( SORRY goerge it would of been of them 2 then it would of been a yes but no
looks like he didn't have easy ride on.
well true that is what i thought aswell but it is up to george if he likes it or not
of coarse it is I personally can see them getting another jcb. they should try a merlo because we have one and it is pretty
good.
well true LLYwelyn ross you do have a good point there but i think george goses with what john say and all of that
cat is fast up and down and claas scorpion ant a bad teleporter
first
Don't do it George.. Jcb or manitou all the way
Similar to the class no good for pulling trailers
Dieci is a typical cheap loader, all the bells in whistles but in 2 years nothing will work. Better to get a jcb, less to break
Tie me kangaroo down sport,..
