Radiohead is my favorite band. I’ve seen them play 3 times. “Let Down” is my favorite Radiohead song. On my last try to see Radiohead I finally saw them play “Let Down.” One of the best experiences of my life.
I only had tix for the second night, and was SO bummed when I'd seen they played it on night one. Thought for sure I missed it. I was so happy when it started. I managed to keep it together for about 20 seconds, then the waterworks started and flowed for the rest of the song. :)
I figured the world would have a better chance of having a meteor take out parts of North America then to have these guys play this song. It must be a headache to play. But what a beautiful song. One of my favorites.
i don't know, it just doesn't work live. i'm sorry, i can't do it. this is the best song, the live version lacks the backup vocals at the end, doesn't do it for me. btw, they already have 2 guitars, they don't need a 3rd, yorke uses it as a prop. he needs to lose the guitar and walk around as he sings and interact with the audience. needs to take lessons from bono on stage presence.
LOL. I'm sorry but this is amazing live. And every single Radiohead fan in that audience had goosebumps or tears in their eyes. And Let Down absolutely needs 3 guitars.
@@multiversechorus a little over dramatic with the goosebumps and tears. most people are seated. are you one of those "i'm a bigger radiohead fan than you" signalers? i've noticed a lot of those on radiohead vid comments. people knockin' each other over to prove their radiohead cred.

I've seen them five times and never got this one...
I was in the audience, and we were all in Heaven.
damn straight, best live experience I've had, the energy was off the charts. Almost 7 years later and I still remember it.
The holy grail. Amazing they can actually play this live, with the guitars running at different time signatures
They can toy with every element of music....
Anytime
And the're all can play any instrument.. my fav band from junior high school;)
Subterranean Homesick Alien is the holy grail...they almost never play it...get your shit right

Impossible for me to have a favorite Radiohead track, but if I was forced to choose this would be on the short list of contenders.
I'm basically in awe of anyone who has seen them do this live as I am of the song itself
my favorite song, beautifully recorded. thank you so much.

The people who have given a thumbs down this song should be “crushed like a bug in the ground”
Maybe they have. Maybe they are the bugs
Who knew in 1997 this would be the song from OKC that everyone was wanking about because they played it live in 2016!
Marc Skeldon this song really got unfairly overlooked at that time, but now, Let Down is fan favorite song..!
