After much humming and hawing, I finally pulled the trigger on this figure. My hesitation came down to his proportions, but after seeing him in some better angles he's really not that bad. That said, I really hope ZX Studios and DNA release upgrade kits for this deco. I really want the taller back spire. It really changes the look and helps with the proportions. While I get the complaint of 're-release that fixes the issues', I feel we'd have the exact same complaints if they reversed the colors release, both with Galvatron, Cyclonus etc.. most characters have kinda inconsistent colors between, movie cartoon and comics, it's just options, and of course the newer color will look more appealing once we're used to the previous one
There are lots of people who didn't buy the originals, there are always new people coming to Transformers collecting so it's good for people to have the chance to get some of these figures. As someone just starting to get the 86 line i think this looks great and I'm disappointed so many fans are complaining about it.
Where I live all previous iterations of this mould shelfwarm like crazy. You can get Kingdom version for ~$26, Selects reformatting version for ~$35. There's 99.9 (lol, Android virtual keyboard has ™ sign but no percent...) chance I'll skip on this version - leaders got really expensive nowdays - and, on top of that, slightly different colour of plastic, non-transparent cannon, removed some paint and two accessories thet got removed is not enough.
This business model of Habro's of releasing the "proper version" after the original sells out - it's an openly underhanded business model to me, and it reeks of dirty pool. The question is does a person play their game back to them and treat them like they treat their target market.

this reissue gets a lot of hate but honestly it looks absolutely insane in these colors. both are great but man the ss takes the win

The purple was used more in the season 3.

At 55 bucks, I have no interest in paying it again for this. I'm fine with the Legacy version.
